I have pyrroluria. Dr Greg Emerson, a world class doctor in integrative medicine, is very alert to this condition.
Essentially zinc and Vitamin B6 are excreted at high volumes under times of stress. As such, sufferers are reported to suffer anxiety and depression, acne and even impotence. Adrenal fatigue is associated with this condition.
It is not a conventionally accepted medical diagnosis, and I prefer to refer to it as a ‘condition’, even ‘a state of being’.
I have added this thread as my treatment with megadoses of zinc and Vitamin B6 in a twice daily nutritional supplement have totally alleviated anxiety, and I do not suffer depression. I believe I had pyrroluria before taking finasteride. I believe my pre existing ‘stressed adrenals’ were easy fodder for destruction by finasteride.
Especially if you suffer extreme anxiety, please test urinary pyrroles.
