Thanks

This could be very helpful as I’ve had improvements in the past.

I’ll start.

  1. Was on doxycycline and at one time cipro
  2. Doxy - 2 and a half years. Cipro - 4 weeks
  3. Improvements i had were - return of normal looking penis, better sleep, less fatigue but still had a fair degree of, some libido. Both worked - but cipro caused some tendon issue so i stopped that.
  4. Took about 3 weeks to take effect
  5. Improvements slowly got lost normally 2 weeks after stopping although since i stopped doxy recently it took about 2 months before i hit rock bottom again.
  6. Suffer crippling fatigue, low libido, erectile dysfunction, shrinkage, visual issues, brain fog
  7. Urologist performed PR exam on me and my prostate was painful - put me on antibiotics - i improved somewhat.
  1. Cipro (fluoroquinolone antibiotic)
  2. On and off for 2 years
  3. Greater urinary force, increased libido, no lower back pain, complete emptying of bladder, cessation of prostate spasms
  4. Two days to take effect
  5. Hard to say. I’m guessing about 1-2 mths
  6. The reverse of #3 above and epidymyitis (most recent time)
  7. Urinary Tract Infection and/or suspected Prostatis

Libido increase is worth investigating.

  1. amoxicillin, cipro, doxy (currently)
  2. amoxicillin - 3 weeks. cipro - 6 days (stopped after developping bilateral tendonitis). doxy - on my 5th day.

What dosage did people take Ciprofloxacin at ? Is it best to take it at the highest dosage ?

Just being reading up about Ciprofloxacin it seems to be a very dangerous drug like Finasteride.

I dont think its worth the risk of taking it.

Geez, that guy seems to have been destroyed.

As a victim of FIN, I certainly won’t judge him. He took it for 63 days which is alot.

I never had problems with this med but obviously shit can happen on Cipro.

The whole pharmaceutical industry seems to be pure evil they kill thousands of people every year with drugs that are known to cause harm.

Old topic but I found it by searching for antibiotics because I recently took some and noticed an uptick in my libido. Others have too it seems. Anyone else?

What kind did you take? I believe minocycline induces or increases 5ar activity, but if my memory is correct it is only in the mouth. I have been on minocycline before, during, and after the initial estrogen dominance crash (aka “pfs crash”). Anything that lowers estrogen will give you a boost, our problems are estrogen dominance, the estrogen must be blocked or killed as we do not have the cycle of 5ar enzymes and dht to regulate and kill off our estrogen. So there are all sorts of supplements and drugs that may boost 5ar sctivity which will produce some dht which will kill estrogen. The key is getting that cycle going again by lowering estrogen.

Sorry I’ll answer the questions.

Bump. Any new experiences with antibiotics guys?

I’ve been on Rifaximin on and off for SIBO and it seems to restore my normality. I feel amazing while on it and sometimes afterwards but it’s always temporary, sadly.
