Post your Cortisol labs here

Only post 24 hour urinary or 4x saliva tests. Do not post blood serum tests.

It would also be helpful to post progesterone, cortisone, and reverse T3 if you have them. Cortisone also cannot be blood tests tho.

24 Hour urinary

Cortisol 50 (35-168)
Cortisone 66 (92-366)

Pregnanediol 200 (32-501) —> PD is the urinary marker for progesterone

Blood
Progesterone 1.2, 1.4, 1.4 (0-1.4)
Reverse T3 = 359 (90 - 350)

These levels are on Preg. ?? Do you have pre values?

Yes, why are you so surprised?

Yes I do (except for serum pregnenolone). All my recent labs are posted on musclechatroom.

I dont know so im asking you guys so dont get mad. Is the spit test a respected/legitamite test, because my doctor says its better to get blood tests throughout the day to measure cortisol.
Do have anything that can back it up, something that isnt spam.

Also moonman what type of 5ari did you take, your profile says propecia, but i think sp has been mentioned?

Sorry…what I meant is to post test results pre using any preg, prog, cholesterol intake increase, hydrocortisone, prednisone, medrol, dexamethasone, etc…but post crash.

Do you mind deleting your first post in this thread?

Yes, saliva test is legit. 8x is better than 4x but its still good. The best would actually be to do a 24 hour urinary the same day as saliva test.

I used SP, I don’t think its possible to change what it says under my name?

Are you under the care of one of the ‘PFS’ doctors?

No, I’m under the care of a local doctor that focuses on adrenal and thyroid unbalances.

Why are you on preg. when your cortisol was already high?

BC CHILLN SAYS SO!

Because, despite high cortisol, I was low on pregnenolone (I know by symptoms, not labs). In practice, my body would rather sacrifice pregnenolone levels than cortisol. I’ve seen someone else around here with the same issue, but it’s definitely not very common. By supplementing with pregn, I got rid of the low-pregnenolone symptoms (brain fog and anxiety), but not of the high cortisol symptoms (high heart rate, edgy), which now I manage with thyroid medications.

Maybe he would be of use to others on the forum.

Any idea why your cortisol is high in the first place? Inflammation/infection? I presume that I was also high like you…but in time this caused my adrenal insufficiency/low cortisol.

Not sure, it was low only while on clomid. Tests revealed that on clomid, pregnenolone was diverted to T and very little was available to produce cortisol. Before and after clomid, my cortisol has always been high when tested with urinary profile or saliva samples.
