I was given my first Lupron injection over 4 years ago. My side effects were severe joint pain, hot flashes, irritability, significant weight gain. It was meant to shrink a large cyst I had that would not go away. I told the Dr about the side effects and he disregarded them. 3 months later I got another injection because that was the only option he told me because he did not want to do surgery and I was in so much pain I felt I had to. In a 2 week span of time I had grown out of my clothes. Luckily after about 6 months the joint pain subsided and hot flashes after about a year. I did have little pain from ovaries because everything was basically shut down so that was nice. However, the edema in my arms , legs, and feet never resolved. It is just getting worse. The weight is just piling on at a rapid pace. I have gone to so many different doctors and told everyone everything and no one can help me. Now I am trying to get pregnant and am having trouble and I have so much edema they cant even get blood from me. I started of at around 175lbs and am now 246.8lbs. My quality of life has been greatly affected as my diet, activity level and nothing else had changed to cause this much weight gain. I did end up needing surgery anyway too so it was pointless. I dont know where to go to get answers and am so desperate to get my life back but I cant prove anything.
