I was young and dumb. around the time i had the blood tests I had a few days were I felt normal. By normal I mean body felt different, morning erections, sweating easily, everything was great. but I definately crashed and I am so depressed, this miight be the worst its ever bee. Does anyone have any suggestions or hope. I am already 27, I need my life back. Please

Hey man, I know this is extremely troubling, but please try to remain hopeful.

Most users will recover over time. Let’s hope you’re one of the majority who does.

How long have you been off of fin now?

You should get some detailed blood tests done and post your results. This will help you track your progress over time.

The group here is very informed so read the forum and ask questions.

Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Dutas has a pretty long half life in your system when stacked against Finasteride. I took the stuff for a few months myself and oddly enough I felt great while taking it. I switched back to Finasteride for a few months and then quit cold turkey. Felt pretty good for a few weeks after that and then everything went downhill.

I really believe the Dutas takes a lot more time to get out of your system and it’s also a much more potent drug. You’ll rebuild in time – it’s just going to take longer than your typical Finasteride user.

Please…

I am so depressed. I cannot beleive I did this to myself. I am going to see an endocrinologist soon but I am so worried that I will never be normal again… never feel horny… never have great erections, etc. Please, do people recover and how long does it take? I was on avodart for quite awhile… My hair is beginning to thin (I think so anyway. I was so young when I started this medication…) Please any motivation…

Another worry of mine is I had muscle wastage… since the heart is a muscle what damage did I do to it? holy…

I am posting this as feedback and also for any information that you have on this regime. Also, the main reason is to contribute information as this may help someone else.

Can anyone tell me … Is it bad to take? Will it cause a crash? It has DEFINATELY HELPED. Do Do you know if it’s safe to take for a long time?

In short, I bought something froma a health food store which claims to do something for Men with ED… It has:
Cnidium

Horny Goat Weed

Ginseng

Ginkgo Biloba

Tongkat Ali Extract (Eurycoma longfolia)

Tribulus Terrestris Extract

Let me know what you think? My other thought is that I am getting better slowly as the Avodart is leaving my system - which I pray… I hope I don’t crash…I’m definately going to keep taking it for right now…

Tribulus raises Testosterone. Raising androgen levels has generally been a very bad idea for most of us, who saw their symptoms worsen.

Really…
Did you get better than crash? Can you elaborate?

I meant that taking androgens might give you some relief for a week, but then you’ll probably crash harder than you ever thought. You will feel depressed, impotent, brain fogged, anxious, etc…, regardless of your total testosterone levels.
For example: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5235

you were dead on.

man, this is so terrible… my life is a disaster.

question for experienced board members. is there alot of cases where people join and then get better within 3-6 months, 1 year? and just don’t report back? I would love to beleive that a year from now I will be back to normal. I need hope and a sex life.

Clean up your diet if you haven’t already. Horny Goat Weed is a PDE5 inhibitor and you may develop a tolerance to it as with l-arganine. Here are a few recommendations:

eat a paleo diet
eliminate sugars, caffeine, alcohol, and grain or grain-based foods such as bread and pasta
get enough rest
do not overdoing sexual activity or masturbation especially if you’re in a fragile recovery period - maybe once every three days
get moderate exercise

I have normal blood tests but have been experiencing symptoms

have you heard of this? And what do I do now. Endo said we’re done because everything is “normal range”
I think I am slowly getting better but definately not back to normal…I dont want to wait another 10 years until I am recovered.

Are you taking any medications now? can you decribe the areas where you see natural improvement.

Mark

Hi

I wanted to write to say that I am sure I am VERY slowly recovering. it’s like 2 steps forward 1 1/2 back. Just wanted to offer some hope.
For example, my gyno is slowly going away, hair on chest is starting to thicken, VERY SMALL if any improvment in sleep and ed.

I have noticed that hard exercise will throw off my recovery. almost puts me back in a bad state. same with natural testosterone (ie tribulus).

My question to you, do you think I will have a full natural recovery? I really do not want to wait 10 years to fully recover. All my blood tests have been normal including DHT. Doctors wont give me the time of day. If I do not see very significant improvments by May then I will try the doctors again.

How bad is your ED? Describe the little improvements if any. What are your latest lab values?
