I just saw this now so the response is a bit late. I worked in transfusion diagnostics for a couple of years and I can’t imagine anything positive coming out of a platelet rich plasma transfusion. Most people dont know that transfusions are not risk free at all. Similar to complications you get with organ donations, with your body “fighting” the new organ, transfusions introduce tons of particles alien to your body to which you have numerous adverse reactions. Yes, transfusions are a helpful tool when a lot of blood is lost during an operation, but there is a shift in medicine over the last 10 years with doctors trying to avoid every transfusion that is not a 100% neccessary because of these adverse reactions. Cancer risk is one of the things that increases the most, but it’s only one of many risks. And apart from that, I don’t know why you’d want more platelets or more plasma to heal pfs. Your coagulation system is probably fine and that’s basically all platelets are involved in.
