Photographic evidence of facial changes (post your changes)

Yeah it makes sense, I don’t even know if it’s due to finsteride. As you said, people can get the same issues we have from infections or viruses for example. Or just unlucky genetics.

It might have nothing to do with AR, just a thought since I have it only where I also grow beard (not that I have a great beard or anything).

@Jonnas12 - I think that you should definitely keep the photos up. They’re anonymous and I think that it’s important that photos such as this are shared with the forum, especially on this thread. You are not alone with this. Thanks for sharing. The more photos there are of guys with similar skin/collagen/fat loss, the more difficult it is to dismiss.

@Dknighten

I’m considering using hyaluronic injections for my cheeks. Does anyone have experience with it?

Yes I’ve spent 4k on them back in on Monday for some more. My face is/was caved in on one side. Its a lengthy process to plump with the losses I have I expect it will be something that I will have to continue on an ongoing basis as it will breakdown more quickly in us

I had a pfs reaction to them after a couple of days but settled back to baseline. Worth it to see improvements. Botox didn’t cause a reaction at all.

Better than looking like an old bank robber with a skin coloured loose stocking on ones head. A rare moment of humour. Go for it!!

Yeah, had botox injection with the lowest dosage on my forehead 2.5 months ago. Still looks really nice. If you want to have the effect of more “fat” in your forehead you have to go with hyaluron but there is a small risk of going blind (no shit!) and the same for the cheeks. So careful with that and choose a well known doc.

I get that too it lasts for hours… is it as a result of collagen loss or subcontaneous fat loss or both. It’s not normal and un nerving. Can’t sit for long! Can’t lean on a table. Skull hurts if I press my scal. How long have u had this @Jonnas12. A few of us have it

Can’t sit long too but learned to live with that. And my elbows hurt when I press them on the table. I don’t know how long I got this my friend, maybe 1 year.

We’ve got to hope it comes back with time. There was a sufferer with all of the changes including facial ageing pointed jaw etc and after 2 years it all came back.

I have the same type of skin all over my body, thin, stretchy, dry, “scaled” appearance. Anything that presses into it, sheets, etc leaves a print for a long time. Lost it’s thickness and healthy bounce. Doesn’t tan properly either.

Has it plateaud? Any muscle come back?

eh not really, my arms and upper body is getting bigger, but it’s not harder. The muscles are still squishy. It’s more like everything is just swelling. Skin is saggy, like someone gaining fat. It’s very difficult to explain unless you have it. What I can say is my strength has seemed to improve some, I have less shaking when lifting weights and more neuromuscular control. Strength and being able to lift heavier weights is primarily a neurological thing though, has less to do with muscle hardness and tone.

Don’t want to sound dismissive but I know people that can do this with their skin. It’s not like we went around stretching your face skin checking before this. Can you do the same with your chest skin?

FYI, I’m not dismissing you! I believe you feel your skin has changed I just want to see

@xxdtmxx Hey it‘s fine I am not sensitive. No I can not do it with my chest but how is that related to the stretchy skin in my face? But I certainly look older compared to pictures 2 years or even 1 year ago.

You completely misunderstand my position. Don’t jump to conclusions. I understand your perspective but if you are going to jump to conclusions, just ask instead next time.

I’ve already mentioned that I’m not dismissing him. I’m truly not. I can understand how it seems as such but that’s why I cautioned that.

I have stretchy skin but I’ve always had stretchy skin. Also have never been able to grow a beard so it actually lines up with what others report here and agree upon. It doesn’t dismiss his stretchy skin symptoms.

It’s okay to ask questions without jumping to conclusions.

Reading these posts had me questioning my stretchy skin but I realize that it’s something I’ve always had and I almost let others experience convince me that’s what I got because of my drug induced damage. I have physical changes but stretchy skin wasn’t one of them.

I just noticed others post pictures of stretchy skin in this thread including their chest and it seems consistent across their body. That’s the only reason I asked. Thanks for understanding. For example, I can’t stretch my skin on my chest as well as I can my face.

I think your face is the easiest to stretch from but I just wish we had a before and after test to see the difference. That would be too good to be true lol

My skin is actually super dry and I’m sure I look older in some ways as well.

Yes it is not all over my body, for example I can stretch the skin on my underarms and biceps but not on the triceps.

Unfortunately I did not take pictures before but who would have known that.

@Dknighten thanks for your reply man. It sounds like there are some positives “tell me if I’m wrong though” even though its not the appropriate mechanisms that have brought back a semblance of strength. Reading this does more are less ring a familiar tune. I was like that a few years ago when I was still training hard and couldn’t get my head around what was going on (before I connected to pfs). Unfortunately since those days I’ve lost all of the fat and have become much thinner especially around what are normally masculine areas. It does give me hope that you don’t seem to have deteriorated further. You’re one of my benchmarks. Thanks Laz
