Hello guys. I have been a PFS victim ever since I stopped taking the pink pill 2 years ago. Now, on top of dealing with PFS symptoms, my hair loss has also come back. It’s kind of like I am taking two punches in the gut. I am just wondering if other PFS victims are also seeing their hair vanishing. Or has Propecia permanently changed your hormonal system and stopped your hair from falling? In that case, at least you get something out of suffering the dreadful PFS symptoms.
I believe there is research showing that treatment group (Propecia) drops below control (placebo) in hair density after discontinuation of treatment. In other words, you are going to be worse off after stopping than had you not taken the drug at all. I am pretty sure I have seen such a study but even if I didn’t I am convinced it is true. I believe eventually Propecia will deliver a double punch to most people who take it long term.
I didn’t have any hair loss before I started Propecia at 29. None of my grandfathers or father had any hair loss until old age. I lost and continue losing a massive amount of hair after I stopped the Chernobyl pill three years ago. I am almost at the point where I have to start taking drastic measure like shaving my head, implants, wearing hats, or what not. Haven’t decided how I will handle that yet, mostly because I don’t care how I look any more (or about anything else).
finasteride is really the best drug ever lol. the benefits really outweigh the risks lol
Sarcasm? But hey man, none of us knew of the risks before we started with Propecia. Even the doctors told us it was safe. I still remember my doctor telling me that about 1% of people taking this drug would experience sexual side effects and that they would go away once the drug is stopped. And look what happened to us?
I am just saying, most of us were misinformed before we undertook the treatment. If I had known what I know today, I would’ve never gone along with Propecia. I’d rather save up money for a hair transplant.
