Thanks for the update.
Out of pure luck/coincidence, I was listening to the Howard Stern interview (I’ve scarcely listened to him since he went to satellite radio) he did circa 2018 when he mentioned he took finasteride.
Don’t usually follow what celebrities are up to but will keep an eye on him.
Maybe connected? Maybe completely unrelated. I mean, the number of people seeking professional assistance to help look after their mental health and people doing everything they can to maintain their appearance is probably quite the overlap in when talking about people as visible as Pete Davidson.
As far as I can tell, glancing at a few pictures online he doesn’t seem to have undergone a significant change in appearance. Certainly not as noticably as when there was speculation about other celebrities, which ultimately came to nothing.
Hopefully, Pete is feeling better soon. And if he is suffering with PFS and reads this, please do reach out.

His dad died when he was 7 during 9/11 and he got trauma from that. Later he was also suicidal etc.
Think it’s far fetched to blame finasteride.
Although I’m sure it could contribute in some ways.
Finasteride is a horrific drug capable of destroying every part of a human being… if he’s on on it then it’s more than likely playing a big part in what’s happening. People who take ssris get much worse but the underlying cause is blamed for everything that ensues

I’m someone that previously had a complicated mental health history myself, when this all first started happening to me I thought that I was just getting naturally more fed up with my life, didn’t make any connection since I thought as I avoided finasteride I wouldn’t have side effects (which to me I thought were laughably minimal anyways since I didn’t really dig into the horror stories). I didn’t immediately notice anything upon taking the saw palmetto. I’m usually a super responder to new supplements too that feels something at least in the first 15 or minutes of taking something if it’s going to do anything for me good or bad. When I did end up back in the mental health services loop I still didn’t entirely know what was going on besides everything I was dealing with before was suddenly much worse and consuming my life. If I never connected the dots who knows what far worse mess of a situation I would have been in right now. That could be the case in situations like this.

He has borderline personality disorder but finasteride might exacerbate those kinds of issues. It’s so hard to determine with so little information and so many factors.
