Hi All
I’ve been for my second appointment with one of the doctor’s at Dr Hertoghe’s practice in Brussels. The blood and urine results are attached below.
As expected, my adiol-G reading (6.03 ng/mL) was very low, my testerone levels were below par and the doctor recommended TRT (Testogel 10%). He made it clear that the treatment would need to be life-long.
I asked him about the alternatives, but he feels that they- HCG, etc- are ineffective. I also quizzed him about the suppression of natural testosterone production, shrinking testicles and the loss of fertility. He contends that low doses of TRT are safe and these are only issues for high dosages.
The doctor pointed out various other deficiencies- T3/T4 (in my urine, although the serum results appear reasonable), DHEA, pregnenolone, melanonin and vitamins D and E- and excesses- estradiol (44 pg/mL) and ferritin (very high). He prescribed testogel, a thyroid supplement, DHEA, pregnenolone, vitamins, and probiotics for a candida albicans infection. He didn’t prescribe an aromatase inhibitor or HCG.
I’m still very concerned about TRT and a little confused about the various cortisol readings, my ferritin levels, etc. Any advice or analysis of the results would be greatly appreciated.
Best wishes
