Anyone who knows something care to briefly clarify whether there have been only seven or so participants or is this just to do with scheduling? I’d be pretty concerned if it was the former…
Can someone just ring them and ask?
They have more PFS patients scheduled. Dr. Khera works full time as a urologist (one of the most sought after in Texas) and as an associate professor, so he’s very busy. There is no cause of concern.
SA- thanks for following up on that

I don’t mean this in an adverse way - but, how did you find this? Did you find it out directly from the source, or by some other means?
If they have more PFS patients scheduled, does this mean that they don’t have enough patients scheduled of other kinds. Such as non-PFS patients.

Again, unsure if it will be taken down or not. We will have to wait and see.
The bald truth is one of the biggest promoters of finasteride.
Yes. The worst that can happen is they delete it/ban me. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
l say lets gather some money and provide their research price and convınce them whose take fın and stop wıth no sıde effects.
I say let’s get more of the 3,000+ members here to participate in the Baylor research.
Awor: “In particular the Baylor study is still quite behind in recruiting patients. This is a shame, because the Baylor study is very important for understanding the big picture of this problem.” 3/10

Excellent idea JurgisRudkus. This is right now the most pressing issue here. For those who are eligible, please tell us what it will take to get you to Houston to participate and we can work on ways to get you there.

Great idea. Currently there is no specific agenda for the informal Skype talk this weekend. But this would be very useful to discuss.

We planned to work on getting Paul on Sky News but that could be item number 2. Can any European guys fly across the pond and all the way to Houston, Texas?
I’ve asked this already, but how many were required for the Baylor study?
If there is a problem getting comparatively few PFS victims to do a study in the US, then we’re in trouble.
What are they short in specifically? PFS or non-PFS, finasteride users with non-PFS symptoms?
Any update on this? I think its the most important topic, and if the study needs more PFS sufferers then we can do more to recruit through this forum.
ı sent a lot of message to baylor but they dont answer mme. Someone must call them dırectly .

I called them, and spoke to one of the administrators and they hold me it was going to cost $3000. Too expensive for me.
Is that cost for travel/accommodation, or are there other costs?

That’s not including any travel or accommodation costs.
“The blood work only would cost you around USD $3000.00 and the penile ultrasound and biothesiometry would cost you another USD$1000-$1500.”
In-fact about $4500 without travel. For those with no insurance to pay for it seems difficult.
