Painful ejaculations

Im 16 and have been using finasteride 1mg per day for the past 5 weeks.

I noticed over the 5 period my testicles gradually reduce in size but i stayed on the drug up until a few days ago.

last week i noticed during the end of my ejaculation an odd sensation, this got me slightly alarmed but didn’t really hurt. i ejaculated again 2 days later and i experienced the same thing, just a bit longer. 2 days ago i ejaculated again and this time it was much longer, and much more painful, and i looked at the semen and it was extremely watery/had yellowish liquid in it. I then quit the drug.

before i ask a few questions i just want to say, i know, im 16 and took fin. huge mistake, although my doctor did prescribe it.

my questions:

Was it primarily due to my age that I got this reaction?

Was the “yellowish” semen blood?

Is there good chance will disappear now that I stopped taking the drug?

Now I’m scared to ejaculate again to see if its gotten better because im worried itll be as painful as last time. How long should I wait to try again? Does my prostate need to time to recover (if this is due to inflammation)?

I was 100% healthy before taking fin, never had any medical issues. I’m seeing my gp soon.

Please help.

I have to ask: Why were you on Finasteride at only 16? Surely, you could not have had significant hair loss. Were you treating as a preemptive strike?

because I’m prematurely balding (receding and thinning) , my doctor suggested i take it.

You should walk into the doctor’s office and kick him square in the fucking nuts! I would suggest other actions, but they would result in a prison sentence. This medication is not to be used by anyone below the age of 18. Its says right on the box. Contrary to popular belief, this is a very violent drug that affects every single one of your trillions of cells. Very dangerous for a man that is even close to puberty ages. This isn’t cold medicine. Unreal.

yeah probably, but seriously guys can anyone help me with this?

The best thing you could do now is wait to see if you get better. If you do not get better in the next few weeks, you should consider seeing one of the the PFS doctors constantly mentioned on this site. They may, or may not be able to help, but going to see regular doctors (not aware of PFS, or fail to acknowledge) is just a waste of time. If you cannot see one of the doctors recommended, try to get the thorough blood tests recommended here with as many of the parameters as possible. Also abstain from alcohol and drugs, if you are that way inclined.

Given how young you are and how recently you took the drug i would hope that time will cure, so live healthy, don’t overdo sexual activity, get lots of rest and moderate exercise as well as healthy food based on meats, fruits, and vegetables, not fast food.

Don’t get stressed and hope your system returns to normal as you could be looking at many, many years of medical intervention. Hope your body heals naturally and this isnt the case. Read the main sight for a timeline, but there should be some changes before the end of month two, just hope they are positive and continue to get better!
