Pain in Pelvic Area and Prostate After Ejaculation

Hey guys… I’ve been off Propecia for about a year and 3 months…Started taking it when i was 18, and stopped at age 25. I am now 26. I have the same extreme ED and libido problems, but never really had any prostate pain. Just recently, after ejaculation, I noticed a blunt pain in my pelvic area and prostate that lasted for 45 minutes. However, that is the only time I feel the pain, it’s not a constant daily pain. This has happened the last two times I’ve ejaculated. What could be the problem, other than prostititis?

As much as I hate to even say such a thing, but … Prostate Cancer? Though I HIGHLY doubt it, but always good to be on the cautious side. We’re both too young to get something like that, I think.

I too occasionally get some pains in the lower abdomen/prostate for days at a time, but then it goes away for a few weeks/months… best bet is to get your Prostate checked via both traditional exam, and Sonogram/Digital Rectal Exam.

Signs and symptoms
Prostate cancer often doesn’t produce any symptoms in its early stages. That’s why many cases of prostate cancer aren’t detected until it has spread beyond the prostate.

When signs and symptoms do occur, they may include the following:

Dull pain in your lower pelvic area
Urgency of urination
Difficulty starting urination
Pain during urination
Weak urine flow and dribbling
Intermittent urine flow
A sensation that your bladder doesn’t empty
Frequent urination at night
Blood in your urine
Painful ejaculation
General pain in your lower back, hips or upper thighs
Loss of appetite and weight
Persistent bone pain

Yeah, i dont have any of the urination problems or the other joint back pains… only when i ejaculate… i will bring this up at the next uro appointment…

I’m 30 yrs/old and I feel a lot of pain (in the prostate) right after I ejaculate (and it’s not a big ejaculation, it’s a very poor semen quantity) when masturbating (and it’s been like that for over 4 years now that i remember), I did tell this to my doctor, as soon as he heard me saying that, his face was very surprised and worried. He then performed a digital rectal examination (DRE) on me and said my prostate was normal but the pain persists.

I read here that this exam can’t diagnose prostatis: healthboards.com/boards/mens-health/613633-prostate-pain-after-orgasm.html and urologists don’t seem to solve the problem.

Now i’m going to demand a check in my PSA levels (and you know that when taking Finasteride you have to multiply it by 2) and I’m also doing an ultrasound in my prostate (not sure if this can help)… I want to go to a Urologist soon after that.

The pain is terrible and lasts for a good hour or two (it varies).

Any suggestions?

Better try a color doppler transrectal ultrasound to check for prostate inflammation and calcifications
Prostate and surrounding tissue inflammation is mostly the leading cause of those symptoms
what can i say, i guess almost one too many patients exhibit this post fin
its highly unlikely our prostates are the same post fin
mine is not
since the age of 24 and whilst i didn’t have any sexual activity at that time i got problems just post fin in the whole area
good luck

I just made an appointment to do that ultrasound in the next couple of days (Tuesday). Will let you know after.

My ordeal began with one painful ejaculation. I’d never before experienced anything like it in my life. Thankfully I haven’t had it again but my sexual life hasn’t been the same since. It’s very bizarre and frustrating and of course doctors are utterly useless.

I’m pretty convinced I’m dealing with some kind of prostatitis/cpps given the constellation of symptoms I’m experiencing. But if I knew anything for sure I wouldn’t be here hehe.

OP I hope you feel better soon. Please keep us updated.

Best,

hey, i just went to the doctor and did a urine test to check for prostatitis, bacterias, etc… they are also going to check the PSA levels in my blood. I haven’t done the ultrasound yet cos i decided to wait for theses results first.

Besides all that, Doctor told me that it could be just muscle contraction (this is very understanding). I don’t have these other symptoms of prostatitis: urinary urgency, urinary frequency and so on. Anyhow, it’s better to check right?

I also read… you can google that, another consideration is anal fissure. Anal fissures not only cause pain in the anus/rectum but can spasms that cause constipation. When a man has sex, his anal sphincter contracts, especially at the time of ejaculation. However, I don’t think i have it either, but just saying

Thanks for your response fab. I really hope your results sheds light on what’s going on with your situation. Please let us know the outcome.

In terms of the possibilities… I fully believe that prostatitis or a “muscle contraction” (chronic pelvic pain syndrome) could be the root cause or at least involved in my issue. I need to investigate this route more thoroughly. Hadn’t heard of considered “anal fissure”… thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Take care,

Urine tests won’t find prostatitis
And urinary urgency/hesitation is only one of prostatitis symptoms, mostly it happens when you have an enlarged prostate. You could have it you could not, its not a predicament of the condition.

Only prostatic fluid can show bacteria or pathogens. And this is only when the capsule is softened. Till then tests won’t show alot, just money thrown away, PCR or not PCR

Have any of you guys done this prostatic fluid test? How is this fluid collected? The little I’ve read sounds like a nightmare scenario honestly haha. If it helps get a more thorough diagnosis I’ll have to ask my doctor to do this on my next visit.

test prostatic fluid
find good doctor
strong massages + antibiotic combos

there is good possibility of recovering the prostate part

Thank you kindly sir.
