Outside running

My GP told me that cardiovascular exercise helps with ED. I started running on the treadmill and elliptical. It did not help. But the weather is getting warmer so I started running outside. This has definately helped. I ran for 3 days and saw immediate positive results. Then I had too stop for 2 weeks and things reverted back. But now I tried running again and once again it has helped. I think you use more musculature running outside and thats the difference vs. a treadmill.

However it’'s not all good news-see my help!!! post.

I have to agree. I have started a running routine as well. I used to be an avid runner. Anyway, I think it has helped me with blood, and it also takes my mind off the ED issues for a little while.

However, as everything else, I think it is important to do in moderation. I don’t think it’s a great idea to go training for marathons since running is a known source of excess cortisol release. And if you are like me (panicky as hell most of the time…just check out my nickname), then cortisol is definitely not your friend.

My humble advise is simply moderation. I’ve been trying 2 to 3 miles a day, but skipping days every few days. Also, every site that I have been on shows that we need to be in the gym working out to stimulate testosterone production. A funny thing that I have noticed is that even though my T levels are low, my workouts are great. Better than ever, but it could be cortisol I guess in my case.

We’ll get through this!!!
