what is the test name for IgE? what should I tell my dr to write IgE test?
I am thinking to get IgE tested.
Booked in for neuropathy tests (emg and ssep hopefully). I will also soon be having an ACTH stimulation test due to low Cortisol.
Was this a one off or has it been consistently low? Based on blood tests only? Mine was below range then seemed to normalise, although my thyroid increased thereafter.

Interesting that you have had some anti body tests.
I am interested in the following tests, all of which are hidden causes of low thyroid symptoms
like low body temp, depression, low libido, joint pain etc
-
Thyroglobulin antibody test
Thyroglobulin is used to make thyroid hormones.
I noticed one user on the forum who showed a high level of Thyroglobulin antibodies:-

Thyroid stimulating hormone receptor antibody

Anti bodies to T3 or T4
-
Low thyroid peroxidase (TPO).
TPO is needed to make T4 and t3. -
5 deiodinase deficiency.
T4 is converted to T3 by type l 5"-deiodinase, a selenium-dependent enzyme.
T4 can also be converted to reverse T3 (rT3) by the enzyme, 5" deiodinase (especially type l 5’ deiodinase in the liver). -
Helicobacter Pylori bacteria test (identified via breath test).
this bug is a possible cause of auto immune illness
