Oily face

This is a sign testosterone is working in the body. Even females who take testosterone will get an ooily face. Even without taking androgens at times in their cycle they can get an oily face.

From what I have read hear. Evey one including me has dry facial skin and scalps?

Is this true?

Anyone got the oil back on trt? I have been on trt a few times and can not remember this. I got a sweaty forehead when exercising. That is it.

Yeah, as time is going on my skin is getting less and less dry. In my upward swings I am less dry and sweat more. Absolutely no doubt, the less dry I am the better I feel.

Not necessarily. My face was only oily in my teens when I had acne, then it became mostly dry even before Propecia. However, I’ve noticed I sweat less.

Surely hairloss is the clearest barometer of hormones functioning how they should? If you had aggressive hairloss before Propecia and an itchy scalp, then thats the presence of DHT. If thats no longer the case, then DHT must still be inhibited somehow, despite discontinuing the drug.

low t = low dht. Yeah my hairloss stopped but starts when I go on TRT. But e2 goes too hight so i dont feel many of the good effects of TRT. But yeah hairlines starts retreating and body hair starts sprouting.

despite getting hairloss from high doses of TRT I did not notice much in terms of muscle gain mornting wood, libido. Only got the good benefits in the first week. Then all benefits loss but DHT effects and estradiol effects remain.

ANyway I am wondering if anyone is able to bring on an oily face with androgens.

In my case oil complete dissapear on the body with proscar, total impotence and shrikage and I continued losing my hair…

I think it is the same for all here. Oily skin happens with both men and women when they have high free t affecting our body. So we are just suffering another low T symptom.

The same here. Just like Finatruth told. As the time goes by my skin is becoming more oily, specially when I have an upswing. It’s reaching 2 years off the fucking finasteride and I still have my hair - it’s falling out, of course, but not even close to what it was before fin.

Finasteride only reduced the rate of hair loss in me, even though with testosterone to very low levels, my baldness progressed.

No hairloss at all for me with super low free T levels! I always have dry scalp and face.

i dont know how, but low T not stop my hairloss.

I have a friend who has low T from chemo when he was a kid. He lost all his hair not from the chemo but from the low T. Depends on folicles and other factors.

i had barely lost any hair since my crash 6 years ago,i was still losing it but very very slowly, also i always had oily skin before my crash, then the back end of 2012 i started shedding more hair and my oily skin returned then at the start of 2013 i decided to try progesterone cream,my hairloss went into overdrive, very itchy scalp, even my temples went thin, previously no hairloss at temples, and my skin went very dry,the oilyness hasnt came back yet,but lots of hairs are sprouting out the top of my head, hope my temples fill back out aswell, fingers crossed…

but i have Male pattern baldness, all mans in my family have this shit, and 3 womans too, " Balding family", very terrible. My case is diffuse nw 6, but, minoxidil works to hairgrow my hair, but he dont works good on temples. I had long hair from 13 until 20, I had to cut this shit because of baldness. however, thanks to minoxidil’m a hair acceptable, even suffering from PFS, I kiss girls, sex happens and when i use viagra, i love young girls, and she´s hate bald guys, with my dry hair, do not look baldness. But my old brother was luckier, he began to lose his hair at 30. The best for those who, despite the side effects, is to try topical alternatives. Here in Brazil dutasteride topical lipossomada( Lipossomes prevent systemic absorption) has done very successfully, has saved many people’s hair.

My face has actually become extremely oily ever since I took fin, and my hair loss is much worse. I believe my skin and scalp have become much more sensitive to androgens from taking it.

That is interesting. Thanks for your input. I saw your results

Testosterone, total: 812 ng/dL (250-1100) -improved
Testosterone, free: 84.4 pg/mL (46.0-224)
Testosterone, bioavailable: 186.6 ng/dL (110-575)

Estrogen, total, serum: 73 pg/mL (<130) -improved
Cortisol, total: 15.5 mcg/dL

FSH: 2.7 mIU/mL (1.6-8.0)
LH: 2.1 mIU/mL (1.5-9.3)

Prolactin: 7.9 ng/mL (2.0-18.0)
Estradiol: 26 pg/mL (<39)

I guess everyone is slightly different.

Your free T looks very low compared to your total T. This would usually mean high SHBG. Your estradiol is very high compared to your free T too. Your free T could be double what it is. That would probably send you way over on the limit for estradiol. You posted a super high estradiol result before. Was it the DIM/Calcium d-glucarate that got your e2 down? Were you on these when u did the above tests? You also have low FSH and LSH despite pretty low free T like most here.

My mate has low T from chemo he is totally bald - Not from the chemo but from hormones. He had the chemo when he was 10. My free T is low and my hair is not falling out at all anymore.

The DIM / Calcium d-glucarate possibly had an affect, though I didn’t feel much different while taking them. I had stopped taking them for at least a month when I had the second test done.

I recently experimented with a stronger anti-estrogen and I noticed much more oil and hair shedding than usual, which was interesting.

which anti estrogen was that?

My face oil is back, after 1 years and 6 months of side effects

My face was always pretty oily and I’d have to wipe it off throughout the day. That didn’t change post-Fin, even when my T was super low (it may still be now, who knows). I did, however, go from having very slow, minor hairline recession to massive diffuse shedding everywhere. This month is a year off that poison and it shows no signs of slowing down, my hands are still covered in hair every time I shower. At any time I can gently run my hand through my hair and produce 2-4 hairs without fail. The new hairs coming in fall out again almost immediately, so I’m losing ground at an insane rate. I fucking hate it. I can’t begin to describe the guilt and regret of knowing I would have never gone bald had I never taken that shit, now I’ll be lucky to have another couple years before I look like a cancer patient, and on top of that I’m impotent and retarded. I hate my fucking life.
