No Hope for the FDA looking into this in the near future...

I just read the following article about the FDA looking into LASIK procedure side effects: health.yahoo.com/news/ap/us_lasi … s_fda.html

Here’s a quote from the article:
“The FDA agreed to look into the problems in 2008 after years of complaints. The agency said last summer it received 140 reports of Lasik-related problems between 1998 and 2006.”

Basically, they do not do anything even if people complain. It took almost 10 yrs of complaints before they started an investigation. I wonder how many years it will take to look into finasteride’s effects. Of course the more people that submit reports with the FDA the better. I doubt many people will even recognize that their problems are propecia related.

This is even more the reason to report and continue to report. Anyone on this forum should have called the FDA and Merck by now. I am calling every 6 months. They have to log and report each complaint and the more and persistent they are the more likely something will happen. 140 problems for lasik isn’t enough.

The problem is most are being apathetic about reporting I would venture…

It s right,everyone in our position has a big responsibility, our lifes have changed,that s it…so we all have to remember everyday that someone(merck)is guilty and that all the system(fda etc…)is curupt…so we all have a mission from after our lifes have been destroied…it is to make gustice and dont let the bastards(merck)making more money on future destroied lifes…everyone should call everyday the fda!!!..i dont have the phone number and i ll search it but if some one already has it,please post it on this forum cause in this way people will be more motivate and will have no efforts to do to find the number. Thank you.
