New to this...initial thoughts

Hey guys,

I’m very new to all of this and just trying to make sense of what is going on. I’ve done a lot of reading over the last month trying to get a handle on this whole PFS situation and like most of us on here, it’s hard to get a firm grasp of what’s going on. That being said, along with the research that I’ve done on PFS, I’ve done some reading on steroid use as well and our experiences, as I’m sure many of you know, mimic many post-steroidal users who incorrectly or too abruptly stop steroid applications. Has the possibility that our bodies are going through a similar withdrawal from high levels of testosterone (caused by the inability to convert to DHT from finasteride use), causing our hormone profile to swing out of balance been discussed? Like with some ex-steroid users, some ex-fin users’ hormone profiles have proven more difficult to correct than others, which would explain the variable success people have experienced with trt etc

I realize that some of you have been struggling with this for years and have come to the conclusion that this drug somehow altered our bodies’ cellular activity, but I find it hard to believe that something so drastic could be causing my symptoms (I only took two doses of the drug). I realize that this may seem overly naive or wishful thinking, but it also seems particularly pessimistic to assume that two mgs of a drug could have such a drastic effect on my cellular activity.

Anyway, just thought I’d start a conversation about this. Let me know what you think.
