Hello everyone. I stumbled upon this site the other day and it’s definitely brought up some questions and information about finasteride that I didn’t know. Currently, I am taking finasteride for hair loss. Right now I’m 27 and started taking it when I was 17 (no one wants to go bald in highschool.) My question is this: is there anything wrong with still taking it if I really haven’t noticed any side effects? I mean, I’ve been taking it for 10 years now. Now that I think back on it, I do have less motivation than I did when I was in highschool, nothing serious, I just know I can be more lazy than I should. No REAL sexual side effects, occassionally I have sex as much as 5 times a day with my wife. However, I don’t really get as “excited” as I used to.
In all seriousness, are there things I SHOULD be concerned about that I could be doing to myself by taking this drug? Or is it one of those things where for some people, it just isn’t that big of a deal? I mean, I have been taking it for 10 YEARS. I am hoping I haven’t done something bad to myself, and if so, I don’t want to continue doing it. So are there things that may not be seen or felt that might come into play down the road?
My health and future are worth more than my hair.
