really strange cause there is a guy on here I see that was cured by taking a shit load of Kefir. @kefir
I have realized that past generations of this forum were more successful in recovering. Coincidentally, those who recovered treated the gastro part more. It may just be my misconception.
its easy to ignore the digestion part, when you have a numb penis, tight scrotum, no libido, dry eyes ,horrible body odor and just feel like SHIT! As if you have some androgen resistance! It wasn’t until last week I noticed that my bloating is not normal… I even made a thread here a while back that I can not tolerate the skin of apples, It makes me SICK immediately…
However as time goes by (3 years) and the fact I never took finasteride/ssri/accutane , I just randomly got these symptoms! Would make me think that problem is organic in nature. The drug did not turn you into an alien! Your symptoms are the cause of something much deeper than just DHT inhibition…
My Total T has been in the upper 500/600’s for the last 2 years but DHT is always below range? How?! I never took anything to block it?
I went on a high vegetable diet, with a bit of meat here and there and basically CRASHED and got Pfs/pas,pssd… I even leak urine! Its as if somebody ripped my urethral sphincter.
“its not zinc!”
“its not magnesium , I have been supplementing with it for the last 2 years”
Ok? but are you absorbing it lol?!
btw, after 3 years of this (5 endos, 3 urologists, 2 neurolgists, 1 neurosurgeon, and 2 gp’s… I finally decided to visit a Gastro… My appointment is on Thursday the 16th.
I am going to tell him I think I have Achlorhydria, (I even have the ridges on my nails and the white spots) It maybe even caused SIBO
I agree on SIBO causing a shit load of issues but question is why does SIBO occur for some and not for others. My wild guess would be that those with slow gut transmit time (sluggish gut) will experience SIBO as a result. Normally, bacteria should not be found in large numbers in small intestines and there is a valve that separates large and small intestines.
Now back to slow gut transmit time. It is widely established that gut contractions/movements are governed by neurotransmitter Serotonin, which 90% of it is found in the gut. Thyroid gland also has a role in the gut. Basically, lower Serotonin and hypothyroidism are two key things that may cause slower than usual gut motility and therefore higher likelihood for SIBO. Serotonin is primarily governed by Estradiol.
Check this excerpt from NCBI:
“…Estrogen receptors and serotonin receptors coexist in cells in a wide variety of tissues, and this critical review of the literature suggests that many of E2’s effects may be mediated by changes in the actions of serotonin (5HT). Serotonin is usually considered to be a neurotransmitter, but surprisingly, only 1% of serotonin in the human body is found in the CNS [[4]]. The remaining 99% is found in other tissues, primarily plasma, the gastro-intestinal tract, and immune tissues, where serotonin acts as a hormone regulating various physiological functions including vasodilation[[5], recruitment of immune cells [[7], gastro-intestinal motility,[[10] and initiation of uterine contraction [[11].
E2 coontros the rate-limiting step in synthesis of serotonin from tryptophan), increasing the concentrations of Serotonin…”
In light of the above, one most have healthy E2 level for optimal gut function. E2 is created from Testosterone conversion so one must raise Testosterone first and achieve ideal T:E2 ratio in the range of 15-25. Ideal E2 level for most men is 22 pg/mL to 30 pg/ml.
I believe its LOW STOMACH ACID is the cause!
look at this shit
"“Most magnesium powders i’ve tried irritate the intestine, which produces serotonin. Taking too much magnesium is a guaranteed way to give me bad dreams at night, the same way people get crazy dreams when they take melatonin supplements, many of which actually contain serotonin. And yes it does dull the penis as well, which is why I unfortunately never supplement it and try to get it from food instead. I wouldn’t use it if I were you”
You mean to say “among the causes”. Stomach acid will eliminate “many” pathogens but not all. Some bacteria can survive the stomach acid and reach the ileum (small intestines). Stomach acid is controlled by histamine.
yes I think some of us may be cured from fixing stomach acid levels… Those who don’t get fixed by this have to look even further down the line as low stomach acid can cause parasites, SIBO, Candida , etc…
heres another one I found
“I get anhedonia from oral magnesium (wrecked my gut and HCL levels), as well as most NO donors (citrulline, arginine, CoQ10), BCAA and Tyrosine. Magnesium oil applied on skin also leads to an “emotional shield”, distancing me from reality and having normal emotions. I’m still a bit anhedonic when being off all those, but it feels like sorghum is helping. I’m listening to music and want to go out these days.”
check this shit out…
I am 99% sure I will be diagnosed with SIBO… you guys would piss your pants if you saw my stomach… I look like I have 60 percent of a basketball in my stomach lmao… even the probiotics made me worse (farting, burping etc…)…
That’s largely anecdotal. My experience with Magnesium is that it helps induce relaxation and promote sleep and eases constipation. However, one must be careful not to overdo Magnesium, ~150mg per day should be sufficient. And it should also be balanced out with Calcium since Ca channels regulate the Dopamine transmission whereas Mg will inhibit it.
I overdosed on magnesium dimalate at the same time. My God. I will consult with a gastroenterologist as soon as possible!!!
I know this recovery is probably bs or only limited to this guy but has anyone else been tested for this parasite?
I’m thinking about getting tested for this soon. I honestly don’t expect anything to come of it, but I think it’s worth a shot.
Looking back on the older days of this forum, it looks like candida infections used to be a real hot button issue. Has anyone ever found that candida caused their issues? Because I’m thinking about getting tested for that as well.
How many of you guys did this test for this bacteria? I think we should do it. Especially severe cases.
Joey10’s an obvious loon…wouldn’t pay him any mind. Claiming he knows our issues and how to cure them, with pseudoscience nonsense and he didn’t even take the drug, lmao.
He’s really not, he’s someone in need like all of us. And looking at regular science has gotten us just as far as pseudo. I’m in contact with him regularly and he’s one of the most determined ppl out there
