New Propecia user - Climax Issues - PLEASE Help!

Hi, im 26 from the UK, i’ve been taking Propecia for almost 3 weeks, within a week of starting the 1mg dose i noticed that as i was reaching climax nothing happened when i was suposed to experience my orgasm.

Im really worried after reading other peoples comments about how it seems to be permanent…?

I want to know as i have been only taking a 1mg dose for just under 3 weeks, will the castration go away and will i return to normal?

Also should i Ween off the drug, or stop right now… Please please HELP ME!.. im so scared

Let’s look at your first question in perspective. You’re asking a bunch of guys who’s lives have more or less been fucked over by finasteride (propecia) whether you should stay on the drug or not? I think you know the answer all of us will give you–don’t take the drug–you may be one of those lucky ones that experiences no side effects and recovers very well, but you also may not be. WHY TAKE THE CHANCE? Don’t take it. In addition, if you’re getting some sexual side effects already, it sounds like you’re at a predisposition.

As for getting off the drug? Quit cold turkey. Throw the pills out and don’t even think about taking 'em again. Propecia is effective even at like .2 mg, so weening off is impractical in this situation. Quit now.

It’s never recommended to go Cold Turkey…i did read somewhere else of the forum it ruined someones life by doing that… i was thinking of halving the dose… and thats what i’ll do for 2 days then miss a day… then stop by thursday.

You sound extremely bitter about it, im going to talk to my doctor and get professional advise.

Who isn’t bitter about a drug that caused sexual dysfunction?

And I’m just trying to tell you how it is–even guys who weened off the drug are having problems with post-propecia side effects.

By the way, why ask for advice on “should I stop now or ween off?” if your mind is already set on weening off?

keep trusting the doctor luckystar. After all they said that everything is reversable once you quit fin, right?

We here know that the doctors are lying and Merck is lying about the side effects because we have them. I’ve had them for 18 months. Fin stays in your system a LONG time. Especially if it messes with your kidney/liver function.

Be lucky you’re only taking it a short time. Or keep taking it and end up with a limp dick indefinitely if you don’t already have it indefinitely. You’re choice but don’t say you were not warned by experiencers and not the medical/pharma INDUSTRY.
