Tell us your story, in your own words, about your Finasteride usage and side effects experienced while on/off the drug.
Testosterone is low 10.9 (8 - 28) This was enough to get Tgel on the NHS. So I am hypo and have just started the gel. Await an endo appt.
The ratio of Estrogen is increased as enzyme inhibition starts due to the normal metabolic pathways being closed off by the inhibitor. This is an established cause of hypogonadism.
Time pressures have meant that experimentation has so far been very limited on my part. But I strongly believe management of symptomology by correcting E/T ratio is key.
Interested in the mapping of endocrinology in patients (and similar) in order to determine any patterns. Particularly with regards to symptomology before , during and after hormonal replacement therapies, paricularly endogenous testosterone supplementation. I notice that the data required to evaluate this is not particularly easy to find, or analyse, despite being the most crucial aspect in discovering (either ruling in or ruling out) the most obvious pathologies. If anyone has an information to share in regards to TRT and monitoring the pertinent values (Estrogens and T) please point me in the right directions. A longer term member perhaps. Thanks for the time being.
