  13. How long into your use of Finasteride did you notice the onset of side effects? Not long a few weeks. At first I got a lot of pimples and puss on my forehead, shedding of hairs, sore testes

    Sore testes. Fatigue, lower sperm production

Probably becauses of depression, I now have a shortage of breath. Doctors have said it is anxiety but I thin my endocrine system went into shock when I had a nervous breakdown (panic attack) never had one before, from there I could not sleep for that long and then eventually got worse and couldnt sleep without tablets to knock me out. I dont get tired or feel sleep at night anymore.

  1. What (if any) treatments have you undertaken to recover from your side effects since discontinuation of the drug?
    I saw a pschiatrist whom gave me mirtazapane at first. It helped a little, not that well sexually and I always felt on the edge and panicky. I went overseas to meet up with a girlfriend and took myself off the tablets, sex life became bad and girl friend eventually left me, my sleep got worse and I had a relapse into a worse state when I was on my own overseas.
    Now I am on an anti-pschotic drug as well, was on zyprexa but put too much weight on , now Im on risperidone and endep.

  2. If you have pre or post-Finasteride bloodtests, what hormonal changes have you encountered since discontinuing the drug (pls post your test results in the “Blood Tests” section and link to them in your post)?
    The doc says I have average testosterone levels and that it is all anxiety.

  4. Tell us your story, in your own words, about your Finasteride usage and side effects experienced while on/off the drug.
    I know I was a bit of a worrier an anxious person but I really worried about hairloss and somehow a doctor told me about finasteride. This was the worst thing that I think has ruined my life. I thought after quitting I would have no hiccups but the pain was just beginning. I had other contributing factors like a job redundancy, in 2006 which lowered my self esteem but I blame all the anxiety on this drug because I think my sleep and sexual dysfunction and low sperm and lack of interest in sex came from using this drug.

I have now tried to take some supplements to see if I can get my sperm production back because I would love to have a child one day. Does anyone have any advice on what doctor to see and what to take to increase your load (orgasm) and last longer in bed. Doctors say take viagra but I think this is not the answer. Also the mental brain fog means I cant hold a job long and find I have no ambition to get out of bed in the morning…
