  1. What (if any) treatments have you undertaken to recover from your side effects since discontinuation of the drug? used tgel, tsal, nizoral 1% and 2%, tea tree oil, topical steriod (discontinued) which helped for a week and then itch came back, planning on getting RU within this week

  3. Anything not listed in the above questions you’d like to share about your experience with Finasteride? this itch and flakes are literally ruining my life im constantly itching my scalp which causes the flakes to appear all over my head i have a buzzcut so its extremely obvious. i think about this itch 24/7 and it prevents me from doing anything

  4. Tell us your story, in your own words, about your Finasteride usage and side effects experienced while on/off the drug.
I have used mino about 1 month prior to finasteride after 3 months of shedding my hair finally stablized on month 4 which did not last very long around the 4.5 month i began to experience shedding and a slight itch… this itch would progressively get worse over the next 3 months. i did not want to quit FIN due to everyone saying “stick it out for a year” after quitting minox for 5 days i notice their was no change in the severity of my itch and i was pretty much tricking myself in think it was the minox that was causing everything when i really knew it was the FIN. The itch is present all over my scalp but is most severe at the crown area. since then i resumed minox x2 day and quit FIN about 2 days ago. my question is has anyone experience such a reaction? how long will the itch typical take to subside? i know alot of people take years to normalize but what is the time frame most people return to normal or when do your hormones return to normal?
