Propecia already gave me a nerve block to my genitals; I’m not sure what you’re referring to, or how it could make you better. Can you provide more information?
That is too funny!!!
I am presently on Clomid, Cabergoline, and Arimidex. Since starting these drugs, I have felt some return in fullness in my genital area, though I’m not sure that increased blood flow is responsible for this fullness; the head of my penis is still white/purple in color and feels cold and is insensitive to contact, so something there is still not right. It used to be red/pink and flush warm and quite sensitive to contact. I’ve been on the Clomid for six weeks, the Cabergoline for five weeks, and the Arimidex for four weeks; I heard someone on this forum mention that it took him three months to get the full benefit from Clomid, so I’ll wait a while before calling the success or failure of this drug regime.
I have no comment on the efficacy of the proposed treatment that you’re describing, since I haven’t heard much talk of it elsewhere on this forum; I understand very little about medicine, so this will have to be a call you make after some careful thought. My only encouragement is that you be cautious about what you do in terms of treatment; even though it does not seem like it, you can actually make your quality of life even worse by following a bad treatment idea. I know that our situation post-Propecia encourages a sense of desperation, so we’ve got to sit down and think really think about decisions like these before we get aggressive in pursuing them.
And also, I know that you trust your father, but he is also a doctor and is also human and could make mistakes. Personally I would advise seeking a second opinion if you feel that there is any chance that this “nerve block” treatment you’re proposing could leave with you permanent issues elsewhere.
Nerve blocks can be scary. This is not something that I would want to do. Anytime you are blocking the nerves, you run the risk of numbness or lack of feeling. If I were in intense pain, I might consider it.
