Natural 5ar inhibitors?

Hi all. I have been looking repeatedly through google in an attempt to find an in depth link to all of the various natural 5ar inhibitors (what kinds of vegetables, for example), but I am unable to find anything good.

Does anyone happen to have a list of these things, by any chance? I would greatly appreciate any advice.

Thank You.

Thanks man.

Any chance you know of which vegetables are 5ar inhibitors, or maybe have been able to track down a good link?

Thanks. I appreciate it.

why do you need to know?

It seems like a good thing to know, dont you think?

I think I’ve seen on here Red Peppers, Mushrooms, Carrots, and although not a vegetable Green Tea.

Would drinking Black Tea be more beneficial then? (even though it is just aged green tea?)

Coconut Oil and zinc. Although when I was literally chigging coconut oil I was feeling really good and somewhat sexually responsive…

Unless anyone can provide a respectable link its just opinion or hearsay.

an in depth link would be extremely helpful. i have been searching, and i am surprised that i have not been able to find anything good, as of yet.

if anyone has any good links, please share.

thank you very much.

I still don’t know why do you want to know? do you want to know so that you can avoid that food?
I have been eating raw carrots and still eat, always feel good never any problem.

I dont see why it matters, but I just feel it would beneficial for me/ us to know about this issue as much as we can. No conspiracy here man, just a thirst for knowledge. It cant hurt me/ us to know.

A good topic that deserves more attention. I am currently cutting out all sups that supposedly have 5AR inhibition properties. This is a list I have found so far on various forums, but further research is certainly needed for clarification:

  • Astaxanthin *

Use cautiously in patients with hormone disorders or those using agents that affect hormones, particularly 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors, as astaxanthin may inhibit 5-alpha-reductase, thereby inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Theoretically, adverse effects related to 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors, such as decreased libido, gynecomastia, decreased semen quantity during ejaculation, impotence, increased skin pigmentation, hair growth, weight gain, and depressed mood, may occur.

  • Fish Oils
  • Coconut Oil: http://www.hairloss-research.org/UpdateCoconutOil8-09.html
  • Turmeric/Cucurmin
  • Lycopene
  • Zinc
  • Green Tea
  • Reishi
  • Astragalus
  • Milk Thistle
  • Hemp Seeds/Hemp Oil/Chia Seeds
  • Beta Sitosterols, compound in saw palmetto, other rich food sources: avocado’s, pistachios, almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, macadamia, pecans, coriander (cilantro), pomegrantates, dark chocolate, eggs, butter, amaranth, oranges, beetroot, brussels sprouts, aswell as sesame, corn, canola and olive oils.

Sativa strain of marijuana has beta-sitosterol in it so its a 5ar inhibitor

Should we all be trying to avoid Beta Sitosterol in our diet? That list of beta S rich foods is ridiculous. Like what oils are left to cook with? Has anyone had any benefit from avoiding Beta Sitosterol or had any negative effects from consuming it that you know of?

Seems like a whole avocado has about 150 mg of Beta Sitosterol, whereas one pill of saw palmetto extract has 160 mg according to this supplement (swansonvitamins.com/swanson- … fgoduLgHiA)

but i’ve never heard of anyone stopping hairless or having pfs from an avocado, but there are those stories for saw palmetto…I’m confused and frustrated

you guys are crazy

if this shit was a significant 5ar inhibitor then we would just eat food not take fin.

Only thing that’s gonna cause pfs is finasteride and saw palmetto extract (and some rare guys Nizoral )

Eat up healthy food.
