My theory...what binds us all

i agree with all the in shape healthy type a stuff and above average libido (or at LEAST average)… i also remember reading some people taking strong anti-histamines and seeing relief in the sexual department.

I definitely had all the characteristics you meantioned above, however I can say with 100% certainty my DHT was through the roof: my hair was falling out rapidy and you could see the DHT on my forehead and even on the collar of my shirt. Also I’m probably the hairiest person ever, my arms and legs are unreal. Not saying your theory is wrong, we’re definitely all different. I was thinking along the lines of 2 categories, those affected with extemely high levels of dht, and those affected with low levels of dht… Just my two cents…

Hey Mew, I found other sources, but here are a few;

joanmathewslarson.com/HRC_20 … oaster.htm
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histamine
totalhealthclinic.co/index.p … &Itemid=53
integrativepediatricsofohio. … histamine/

Can probably find a ton more searching high histamine/libido.

Moonman1- I have thought about taking extremely high doses of histamine but again, (1) im not a doctor, and (2) im not sure that is the root cause. Again, I feel the triggering event is the progesterone depletion which is what the science guys know affects Allopegene (spelling) etc.

If my conversation with Dr. Jacobs is correct, and although I have low estrogen, my ratio of estrogen to testosterone is unbalanced…then there is no doubt we are dealing with Progesterone deficiency (estrogen dominance)

Finally, from all this it appears allmost all the things mentioned on this board would have a temporary effect and then subside. Yes Testosterone shots may raise your levels and you might feel better for a little, Anti-estrogen’s would lower estrogen temporarily, even iodine might have some benefital effect (google iodine and histamine) its sensitizes H1 histamine receptor sites.

lifewasgood- you say your hair was falling out rapidly correct? Are you bald now? Generally MPH is very slow. I too had a bad break up, and my hair was falling out in droves. Could see my scalp under the right lights…but it was temporary. I had experienced it many times before.
I am suggesting we suffered from something called Telogen Effluvium, which is a very rapid diffused thinning of hair attributed to hormonal imbalances. The frontal portion is usually the area on the head that is most notible to this type of thinning.

I definately had what I considered strong sexual desires. Which I had to release alot. I was pretty fit for my age compared to alot of my friends. And always had problems with allergies. Idk if theres any true connectiion with all this.

These are typical spam blog websites, and wikipedia in general is not considered a scientific source.

Pls provide some scientific papers from PubMed: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed

Mew- I def know there is at least one study regarding histamine responses with libido / erection after the adminsteration of histamine antagonist. Ill try to look for it.
However if I follow your logic then shouldn’t I ask you to produce the scientific research that propecia causes red chest and face, dry skin, digestive problems, thinning lower legs and arms, thinning skin, muscle twitching, confussion, stuttering, non-allergenic sinusitus, peyronies etc…we all know that doesnt exist yet either…hopefully soon.

I was definitely going bald, my pillow would be covered in hairs and when i washed my hair you could see dosens of hairs in my hands, i think the fact it was happening so fast forced me into taking action. But my head always felt pretty tight. After my crash (2months ago) my hair stopped falling out, athough in the last week it has started again and I can notice it getting greasy everyday if I dont wash it.

lifewasgood- Yes!!! You had the inflammed, possibly itchy scalp with massive thinning! I am almost 100% certain you were not loosing (permanently) your hair. I believe you will now go through cycles of thinning, dry/straw like texture and falling out followed by periods of regrowthand thickening. now before you had gone on propecia, possibly 2-3 months or less before you went on propecia, were you experiencing any stressful events in your life? Were you sick w/ high fever etc? A bad breakup? Anxiety going to school? etc

Yes, the crown is gone. Recession, followed by male pattern baldness, including thinning crown. It was not a perfectly symmetrical balding pattern like some men have.

Sorry I disagree, Ive been receeding since I was 18. My hairline in at least 1 -2 inches back and my crown is bad too. Nah to be honest I was really enjoying life before all this shit happened. No anxiety over anything at all.

lifewasgood- hmm how ironic that you say that things weren’t all to good before the finasteride…when your name is lifewasgood. I really dont want to pry, but I really belive there is a chemistry type linking us. Incidently, not necessarily depression but the potential to become very depressed is charcteristic of the high histamine individual as well. No anti-depressants correct?

No I never said things werent too good, things were going well, i was very happy. I took propecia maybe back in early 2011 for a few months and then stopped. I then had depression for 2 months in 2011 - it was very shortlived and I made an excellent recovery. All of this might explain how we were predisposed to this but how do we fix it?

lifewasgood- unfortunately I think before we can fix it we need to understand it better. I honestly believe with more and more eyes looking at this problem a cure or at least a satisfactory treamtent will come forward. We are not doctors, but we do have a collective amount of information regarding our own symptomology and I truly believe now is the time more than ever to compare and contrast them.

Yea. The symptoms are all over the place. Neuro, digestive, sexual, muscular… I really hope they can figure it out.

hey, sorry but my DHT was very very high, before I took finasterid, thats why the doc told me to take it.

Let him the hell say, what he wants to say! Why you musst attack here only the people!

You are realy just a troll and I dont know what you are doing here in this forum, just messing people up! He took time to write it and some things are not totaly wrong, but you belive you know everthing. Get lost!

To finatruth, thanks for sharing your thoughs about this, I think you took time, to think of this and you took time to write it. As I wrote before, my level of DHT has been very high before and my Testo was in the mid range. I think, we alls has been before Fin very sensitiv to androgens, the more we are, the faster we get the sides. Taking fin so long, without any Problems, shows, that something happens to the body, when DHT comes back and this happens in about 1 week to 2 weeks. Yes, and histamin also paly a part in this, but its like the other symptomes, like puer parasympaticus and smypaticus is also messed up. But, I will have a look a deeper look in histamins, before I shout this is all crap. because I dont know that much about histamins. But like i wrote they also play a big part in this.

Thanks brainbug. Aside from high DHT, are you defined by what I believe to be someone with high histamine levels? Social? Outgoing? Politician like? OCD even mild? Life of the party? High energy/intensity? Need to satisfy libido? What range of the DHT scale were you? Very high? Is your personality type extrmeme, perhaps it’s not just high DHT but even higher Histamine for you (ratio) you seem very very intense lol Let me know your thoughts

Brainbug- one more thing…how adversely affected where you? Did you experience /possibly muscle loss in your lower legs/lower arms, did your penis bend to the left, face flushed, sinus problems?

Before Fin I was a real alpha male, horny as hell and I would say very social and good in holding speaches. You can see all my symptoms in my member storry. I lost everywhere muscels not only there and before… I get so easyly more now all gone, I´m weak. But my Libido is nealy like before fin and I get spontanus erektions again, I dont have ED with my GF but she is realy a bombshell!
See, when you belive your histamin levels are very low now, try to boost them somehow, or have a look, If there is a lab that can test it. A antihistamin cured me from my Panikattacks and realy relaxes me, no other drug was able to do this. Even not the strongest relaxing drugs.
