I do not have symptoms of depression. My symptoms are all hypogonanism. The testicles are always empty, as if he had just ejaculated. So every day. The doctors do not give me any solution, just wait, but I’ve been waiting for 2 years and it’s still the same. They do not want me to recommend testosterone injections, because I am 45 years old and they say it can cause prostate cancer.
Welcome mikelele.
Starting TRT sounds like a completely reasonable request if you have verified hypogonadal T levels with blood tests and are experiencing obvious symptoms of hypogonadism. It is confusing why your doctors would allow you to suffer from the ill health effects of low testosterone for the sake of avoiding a possible slight increase of prostate cancer risk. You may need to find a new doctor who is more open to hormone replacement.
Unfortunately, TRT has a very poor track record of treating sexual symptoms of PFS, which sounds like your main concern.
Other forum members would be better able to give advice if you posted details of your experience with PFS in the “member stories” section.
I wish you luck in finding something to improve your situation.
I do not know if my case of post-Finaside syndrome is normal. I do not have depression, or fatigue, or brain fog. My symptom is that every day I get up as if I had just ejaculated. My testicles are flaccid, empty. I do not know if this is normal in those who have post-finasteride syndrome. Reading online I see that my symptoms are very similar to hypogonanism.
What happened to those who did treatment for testosterone injections? Have they been worse?
Fatigue and brain fog are correlated with liver diseases.
TRT maybe can be a solution if your testosterone is below range but check your liver before.
Among PFS sufferers TRT is controversial.
