My Persistent Symptoms from Finasteride (Propecia)

Hi Guys, it seems I have officially joined your unlucky group. I have been reading your posts and waiting / hoping for the last 5 months that my symptoms would improve but they have not.

Here is my story: I was a happy, highly sexual, attractive, middle-aged man of 50 who took great pride in his sexual performance. I was also in the best physical, emotional, and financial shape of my life. I worked out 5 days / week, ate clean, and got good sleep. Before taking Finasteride (Propecia) I was able to have great sex AT LEAST once / daily, and multiple times over a good weekend. I have an ex-girlfriend from 2 years ago, who has remained in my life as a dear friend, and I have shared my troubles with her. To her disbelief, she cannot believe that I could have permanent ED considering the way I was with her!

Continuing my story, I had hair transplant surgery in Feb 2010 and was prescribed Finasteride (Propecia) to help me keep the non-transplanted hairs from continuing to fall out (BTW: The hair transplant results are marvelous!). Over the next 5 months of taking 1mg Finasteride (Propecia), I found myself having more and more difficulty maintaining an erection. Finally, I had the opportunity to have sex with a drop dead beautiful woman only to find I was COMPLETELY LIMP. I mean nothing! I have never been more embarrassed in my life! The next day in a panic, I made an appointment with a Urologist who instructed me to IMMEDIATELY STOP TAKING PROPECIA. He also sent me to a lab have my testosterone levels checked and here are the numbers he gave me over the phone on 8/1/ 2010 (sorry I don’t have more):

Total 481
Free % 1.85 (I don’t understand these numbers)
Free 89 (This one either)

Soon afterward I discovered PropeciaHelp.Com and began learning about my fate. Being fairly intelligent and educated, I studied everything I could about testosterone, DHT, hormones and the endocrine system. I also began taking supplements to boost my testosterone (Tribulus, LongJax, ZMA, etc.) but nothing seemed to help my ED symptoms except Viagra. Over the last 5 months since stopping Propecia, I have had brief periods of “recovery” which have always ended in still more ED symptoms. During this time I also discovered Cialis which seems to allow me to have completely normal sex (guess I got lucky there). I have also recruited an understanding woman to help me gauge my sexual performance although she keep telling me; “honey, you’re doing great”, when I know I’m not so great.

Finally, about a month ago (4 months post Fin) I went to see an anti-aging doc to look into HRT therapy. He sent me to have new labs done and here are those numbers from 11/04/2010:

Testosterone (Serum) 481
Free Testosterone 8.2
LH 8.6 (high)
FSH 12.1 (high)
SHBG 53.5 (high)
E2 25.9
IGF-1 185
T3 2.8

To my surprise, he said that I showed signs of Primary Hypogonadism (High LH, FSH, and SHBG). He recommended that I start TRT and that would resolve my ED symptoms. Now, I am taking IM injections of Testosterone Enthenate @ 100mg weekly (I did 2 initial injections of 200mg 5 days apart as a “kick start”). To my disappointment, I have had SOME improvement in the ED in the last 3 weeks of HRT but still have to rely on Cialis to have normal sex. I do have to say though, I feel marvelous on the HRT! My power and stamina in the gym are 25-30% better; I am loosing body fat; and I am gaining lean muscle.

Up to this point, I had continued to use the 5% Minoxidil @ 2x daily but began to be suspicious of ANYTHING. Since then I have discovered that Monixidil may cause ED also! And much worse! Please research Minoxidil and the horrible disfiguring side effects (see publichealthforums.com/h-33-minoxidil.html[/url]). As of this week, I have immediately stopped using Monixidil and will take my chances with the hair loss from now on! At least the transplanted hair will never fall out!

I am having new lab work done at the 6 week mark and will post those results for you. This time, I will ask him for all the numbers you guys recommend. The HRT doc wants to see what my response is to the testosterone injections before adding anything else that can affect my hormones. After that, I will be starting HCG @ 250IU 2x week (day 4 and 5 after IM injection) because I am beginning to have testicular atrophy from the exogenous testosterone (like I needed anything else to get smaller!). I will also be adding DHEA, Pregnenolone, and DIM to my supplements.

Finally, after reading some of the posts from you guys, I will be starting HGH next week @ 2IU /day for the next 6 months. I will also keep you posted on this too!

Guys, I don’t know about you but I will not accept this thing lying down!!! I am going to keep fighting this thing with all the resources I can muster!!! I would also like to pursue a class action lawsuit against Merck!!!

  3. Tell us your story, in your own words, about your Finasteride usage and side effects experienced while on/off the drug. – Please see my earlier post.

You need to post ranges.

Testosterone (Serum) 481
Free Testosterone 8.2
LH 8.6 (high)
FSH 12.1 (high)
SHBG 53.5 (high)
E2 25.9
IGF-1 185
T3 2.8

I am sorry to read your story. your LH and FSH are not high. High are when they are out of range high like LH 20 and FSH 24 etc. I read about a guy (on another forum) who was primary hypo and his values were LH 25 and FSH 35. you are in normal range. Further most of us here secondary hypo.
Another thing you you were not copmletly off of drugs you were on minox. I don’t know but if I were you I would have give some time instead of going on T injections. Just use some vit D and Vit B or good multi Vits.

Larryh,

welcome to the forum, sorry you had to become one of us.

Like one of the others mentioned you need to refer back to your test results and post the associated ranges of each horome. The numbers really mean nothing, unlesss we can know where you are in the range.

I would add Vit D3 to your protocol. The majority of guys that suffer from this drug, have very low Vit D levels. It an inexpensive supplement and unlike some of the other supplements it works.

Your post states that you had been reading here for a while prior to joining. I would imagine you would have read that HRT/TRT is very likely a life commitment. It’s incredibly difficult to come off of it. Was it your doctors idea to get you on HRT or was it something you decided to do? There have been some men who had seen a good recovery using clomid instead of HRT.

Here are the ranges:

Testosterone (Serum) 481 - (280 - 800)
Free Testosterone 8.2 - (7.2 - 24.0)
LH 8.6 (high) - (1.7 - 8.6)
FSH 12.1 (high) - (1.5 - 12.4)
SHBG 53.5 (high) - (14.5 - 48.4)
E2 25.9 - (7.6 - 42.6)
IGF-1 185 - (87 - 238)
T3 2.8 - (2.0 - 4.4)

As I mentioned in my post, I will have new labs done in a few weeks with all the numbers you guys recommend. I will post those results.

I did not realize that Minoxidil could be part of my problem since it is sold over the counter. Like I said in my post, we should warn other guys about this drug. It is not mentioned in the forums much. Since quitting Minox a week ago my symptoms are not much better, but I will give it more time as you suggested.

Yes, I do realize that the HRT is a lifetime commitment but decided to go with it more for the lifestyle and anti-aging benefits than ED (although that was a major reason). The results from the testosterone are great! I feel better, stronger, more confident, etc. Oddly enough, I seem to be attracting women although that may be a placebo effect. Correction: I am now in week 5 instead of 3 like I mentioned in my post.

The HRT protocol is designed to keep my testes in play with the HCG I will be starting in the next few weeks. The 1x week 200mg IM of Test E on day 1 is complimented by the 250iu HCG on days 5, 6 to keep me balanced between the exogenous testosterone and my own natural production (or what is left of it). The doctor says that because my HPTA is kept active, I can stop the HRT at any time and should return to my baseline T levels (around 480). I will also be starting HGH next week, again more for the anti-aging benefits, and I am hoping it will finally resolve my ED symptoms. I did look into Clomid and Novladex but I don’t like the possbile sides (I’ve been burned bad enough by Propecia and Minoxidil).

Oh, one more thing. I will certainly begin taking vitamin D and have read may good things. I am also considering vitamin B12 injections.

Hey Guys, just a quick update on the HRT. I am going into my 6th week of 200mg test E / wk and my 2nd week of 2IU / day of HGH and I feel great! I wish I would have done this 10 years ago, even before the Propecia knocked me flat! I had some great sex this weekend and maintained a 90% wood the entire time, even time without Cialis! This is the first time in almost a year! I also cannot stop masturbating! Something is working for me! However, I will see if it lasts long term before I claim success. My ED symptoms seem to get slightly better then worse again without explination.

I do have a couple of expected side effects from the test and HGH though. The test is causing testicular atrophy and my balls are about 1/3 their normal size, feels really strange but did not seem to affect my performance at all. I will be starting HCG @ 250IU 2x /wk this week which should fix up “the boys”. I have slight tingling in my forearms (carpel tunnel syndrome) a common side effect from the HGH, but nothing I can’t live with. I am also feeling a bit more tired than normal and my doc added 50mg of T4 to take when I do my early morning HGH injections. Apparantly, an old thyroid like mine needs a boost to keep up with the HGH and test. He is also thinking of putting me on an AI but I want to wait for my labs.

I am having my 6 wk lab work this week and have requested all the tests you guys have recommended. I am still waiting to hear back from my HRT doc but pretty sure the extra tests wont be an issue.

I am going to wait another week or so and post a new thread in the Recovery section if everything continues this well for me. All in all things are going great so far!

Quick update… It looks like my partial recovery from the HRT was short lived. This weekend I seem to have “crashed” again back into total ED, and I mean almost nothing. Not even Cialis helped! The hCG did not seem to help my testicular atrophy even with the 1000IU bump I did yesterday.

This Completely Sucks! It was New Years Eve and I couldn’t even get hard! I was really hoping that 2011 could be a better year for all of us.

Interesting note: I am not shedding any hair.

Great news!!! It looks like my ED was a symptom of high Estradiol (E2). I started 12.5mg of Aromasin (exemestane) before bed Friday, and by Saturday night I had the BEST sex of my life! (or at least that I can remember). I did take a small amount of Cialis that night but had sex again the following morning without taking anything at all. I had all the symptoms of high Estradiol; bloating, fatigue, depression, and complete ED. My doc agreed and prescribed the Aromasin @ 25mg ED on Friday. After reading the post by iwontgiveup, I decided to reduce my dose to 12.5mg ED or maybe even EOD.

I absolutely 100% believe I have fond the solution to this thing for me! It requires supraphysiological doses of Teststerone (200mg or more EW) for me to feel normal. My dose is currently 220mg of Test E EW. Unfortunately, these are doses that most TRT docs won’t prescribe for exactly the reason I encountered, high E2 and a complete shutdown of the HPTA.

So here is my current protocol:
220mg Test E 1x EW (I am switching to Test C in the next 2 weeks)
250 – 300 IU hCG 2x EW
Aromasin is 12.5mg ED or EOD
2IU Human Growth Hormone (hGH) ED
Wellbutrin XL 300mg ED
Whole Food Men’s Multivitamin
DIM (Diinolylmethane)
Pregnelone 30mg ED
B Complex 100 x 2 ED
ZMA
Mega EPA/DHA Fish Oil 4 ED
L-Glutamine 500mg 1 ED
Vitamin C 1000mg 2 ED
Amino Acids
Calcium
Glucosamine & Chondroitin

Don’t smoke or drink alcohol - ever
I weight train heavy 5 days / week at lunchtime
I eat 5-6 small clean meals each day – no simple carbs, no saturated fats
I buy organic meats, fruits, and vegetables – lately I have been almost completely gluten free
I avoid environmental Estrogens – don’t heat food in plastic, stainless drinking bottles, avoid soy, etc.
I try to reduce stress and get at least 7 hours quality sleep each night

I have gained many other benefits from HRT/TRT beyond solving my ED/libido. I have the body of my dreams! Gained 20 lbs of muscle, and lost 12% of my body fat. My depression is gone! I feel alive, confident, and sexy! I am getting the attention of women again for the first time in months!

Congrats, lets hope your recovery is a permanent recovery. I too thought I was cured many times by bringing my hormone levels up and each and every time my libido came crashing down to my post-finasteride state after a few days. I hope you have better luck than I did.

I have not suffered with this thing for nearly as long as some of you, but the last 8 months has been straight from HELL for me! The good news is I have finally found a solution that works for me!!! I can have great sex, multiple times, sometimes even without Cialis or Viagra!

  1. I am not a doctor and the protocol described in this post is not intended as medical advice. Consult with one of the excellent doctors recommended on this site that is familiar with PFS and treatment. This post is my OPINION, and I will not participate a heated discussion about it being right or wrong, bottom line; IT WORKS FOR ME!

  2. I am willing to try ANYTHING to resolve this issue. ANYTHING! I did not approach this problem with the attitude of “I will not do this, or I will not do that”. If it made sense to me, I tried it. What else did I have to lose? It paid off!

  3. If you think you have this thing AND you are still taking ANY kind of 5AR drug or supplement, and that includes but is not limited to; Propecia, Finesteride, Proscar, Avodart, Sponolectrolone (topical or otherwise), Accutane, Saw Palmetto and many more; you need to STOP IMMEDIATELY! Unfortunately for me, this also included all Minoxidil products that are BRUTAL on my skin collagen (premature aging) and are also known to cause ED. My hair solution now: I have already had one very successful hair transplant and will have another if necessary! As a result, I have a full head of hair that will never fall out!

  4. I am not an expert on this thing and there are many more knowledgeable members of this site that can explain in great detail the things I discuss, especially the posts from Mew and the other long time members. The recovery thread by JN was especially helpful. I am just going to describe what worked for me and grateful for the valuable information I have learned from other members over the past 8 months of my recovery.

I believe that our Hypothalamus - Pituitary - Thyroid - Axis (HPTA) got permanently screwed up by Propecia (Finesteride). The HPTA is a delicate balance of hormones and enzymes controlled deep in the neurological complexity of the brain. We have some sort of rare predisposition for the HPTA to be permanently “broken” by the effects of Propecia (Finesteride). Not only is the HPTA broken for us, but it no longer responds to treatment as expected. For example, I have found that I have to take supraphysiological doses of Teststerone (200mg or more EW) to feel normal. Other PFS sufferers on TRT have observed this also. There are many excellent theories discussed on this site and many of them make sense. Bottom line: PROPECIA (FINESTERIDE) IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DRUG THAT NEEDS TO BE PERMANENTLY BANNED WORLDWIDE!

Here is what I believe the answer is (and is not):

  1. Supplements alone do not work! There is nothing you can buy over the counter in any quantity or combination powerful enough to fix your HPTA at this point; unless you are within that 3 month window where you will recover naturally; then and only then, supplements may help you recover. I have tried literally every combination and dose of supplements you can imagine including (Tibullus, ZMA, Progesterone, Pregnelone, DHEA, Longjax, Argenine, Horney Goat Weed, Macapure, etc.). I still take a lot of supplements, including some of these, but they are strictly for general mental/physical health discussed later. Please do not reply to me telling me that an over the counter supplement worked for you. They alone did not work for me.

  2. Our symptoms seem to be similar to a steroid athlete who has completed a long and heavy cycle of anabolic steroids. The HPTA is completely shut down and needs to be restarted. This can be accomplished with the help of one of the PFS knowledgeable docs referred to in other threads. I regret that I did NOT try this HPTA restart protocol before going on HRT myself. However, I would highly recommend Dr. Crisler’s HPTA restart protocol BEFORE going on HRT. Although, all of Dr. Chisler’s HRT protocols are a bit conservative for us (IMHO). I have already done a version of this while on HRT. The 8 week Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) would include:

a. 500 – 1000 IU hCG – EOD for 3 weeks (Do not exceed 3 weeks of hCG at high doses or you risk permanently desensitizing your testes).

b. 20mg of Nolvadex (tamoxifen) – ED for 6 weeks then reduce to 10mg ED for 2 weeks. You can also use Clomid (clomifene) but the vision sides were a concern for me.

c. Check your Labs! – Many things can get out of whack with this PCT, especially Estrogen. Nolva is an SERM and only blocks the effect of Estrogen, it does not eliminate it.

d. If your E2 is high (above 30 – 40), you may want to start a very low dose of Aromasin (exemestane) 12.5mg ED or even EOD, it will reduce E2 QUICKLY and it works well will with Nolvadex (tamoxifen) . Be careful not to get your E2 too low as this can cause more problems with ED than you started with. The general recommendation for E2 is between 20 – 30 pgml.

e. Follow all the fitness, lifestyle, supplementation, and mental health changes recommended below.

f. Gauge you progress by your nighttime/morning wood.

  1. If the HPTA restart protocol does not work, the only remaining option may be the HRT/TRT described below (IMHO). First off, it’s not that bad at all. In fact, I have gained many other benefits from HRT/TRT beyond solving my ED/libido. I have the body of my dreams! Gained 15 lbs of muscle, and lost 12% of my body fat. My depression is gone! I feel alive, confident, and sexy! I am getting the attention of women again for the first time in months! Here is my entire protocol, including meds, lifestyle changes, physical fitness, supplementation, and mental health. I believe ALL of these are required to overcome this horrible condition we face.

a. 200mg of Test E or Test C 1x EW – This is double the dose most HRT docs (including Crisler) are willing to prescribe. Although I did find an Anti-Aging clinic that will prescribe me any amount I want. I also recommend reading the posts from iwillnotgiveup and others as they have done some extensive research with the Test C doses and frequency. I do my injection IM every Thurs morning with my hGH. I have dosed up to 200mg 2x EW and have discovered the higher the Test dose, the better my ED. However, 200mg seems to be my sweet spot.

b. 250 IU hCG 2x EW – This is a low dose that will keep my HPTA active without desensitizing my testes. It is also supposed to help with testicular atrophy, but mine have not improved much (yet). I do my hCG injections SQ the Tue and Wed before my Test IM injection on Thurs. The natural Test boost helps keep my levels more stable over the course of the week. As the Test C injection begins to wear off on the 5th - 6th day, the natural Test from the HCG kicks in.

c. Anti-Aromotase such as Arimidex or Aromasin – the dose here is VERY TRICKY but basically you need to keep your E2 between 20 – 30 pgml. I can estimate your E2 by my nighttime/morning wood. If get my Estrogen too low I feel like shit, have joint pain, and I have no wood. If I get my Estrogen too high, I will retain water, feel bloated, have low energy and have no wood. My recommended starting dosage for Arimidex is .25mg EOD or E3D, and my dose of Aromasin is 12.5mg ED or EOD.

d. 2IU Human Growth Hormone (HGH) ED – This is optional IMO. However, I am already getting some great results including; thicker skin, thicker hair, nails growing faster, new muscle growth, and a nice full and solid look and feel to my penis when flaccid. The HGH is also giving me firmer erections and explosive orgasms. Downside, it is expensive unless you can get the high quality Chinese imports (be extremely cautious of fakes!). It also gives me a little bit of carpel tunnel syndrome (CTS) and I am on a keyboard all day at work. The CTS is always a side and how you can how good the HGH is. I can also tell by how quickly it reconstitutes with the BS water. The hydrolyzed HGH solid at the bottom of the vial should reconstitute almost immediately into a clear liquid. I am very careful how I handle it and reconstitute it! It is a large and fragile molecule. I take my 2IU injection SQ first thing when I wake up to minimize the negative feedback to my Pituitary and maintain the natural nocturnal GH pulses. I also take the injection at least 30 min before I eat breakfast to minimize the Insulin sensitivity issue that can be caused by eating carbs after an HGH injection.

e. Mental Health – I was already taking Wellbutrin at various doses over the last 4 years. Recently, I have found that it actually helps my ED somehow. My hair transplant doc is the one who prescribed the Propecia, and tried to blame my ED on Wellbutrin. He still disputes that Propecia could possibly have any permanent effect, but he is a GREAT surgeon so I don’t argue with him. Ironically, when I stopped Wellbutrin, my ED got worse, not better! I am currently taking 300mg of Wellbutrin XL ED under the care of a Psychiatrist.
f. Sexual Health – 5mg Cialis (Tadafil) ED. This is a low dose of Cialis that I can use every day and I buy this in liquid form very cheap at extremepeptide.com. It takes about 5 days for the dose to build up but once it does the erections are AMAZING, like I haven’t had since my 20s. It also brings back that full look and feel of my penis even when flaccid.

g. Supplements:
• DIM (Diinolylmethane) – This is an Estrogen balancer that turns bad Estrogen to good Estrogen. We (men) need Estrogen for many health benefits including ED. I use it as a second line to tightly control Estrogen. You need to get the high bio-available or it will not work at all. The best is BioResponse DIM but it is more expensive. I have found cheaper products with the same bio-availability with some research

• Pregnelone 30mg – I supplement with this to support my HPTA and Adrenal function
• T4 thyroid – HGH is known to increase the conversion of T4 to T3 and I supplement T4 to support this process
• Vitamin D3 5000iu – This was recommended by a few of the members
• Vitamin C 1000mg
• Mega EPA/DHA Fish Oil x4 ED – The high EPA DHA also help with the emotional and mental issues I have been dealing with. Plus it is just plain healthy!
• L-Glutamine 500mg 1 ED – The glutamine has some anti-depressive properties
• Glucosamine & Chondroitin
• Amino Acids – The HGH greatly increases protein metabolism and the Amino’s support this process.
• ZMA before bed – Zinc, Magnesium, B6 to support my natural Test production
• Vitamin C 1000mg x2 ED – Helps with mental and physical wellness
• Amino Acids – These are important to take with hGH because your body will metabolize Proteins and Amino Acids at a much higher rate
• Calcium – HGH can use the supplemental calcium to rebuild bone (yes, it does this!)
• Whole Food Men’s Multivitamin
• Biotin 5mg – To keep my hair healthy
• B Complex 100 x 2 ED
• I have just started Vitamin B12 injections and will let you know how this works.

h. I don’t smoke or drink alcohol ever.
i. I weight train heavy 5 days / week at lunchtime.
j. I eat 5-6 small clean meals each day – no simple carbs, no saturated fats.
k. I buy organic meats, fruits, and vegetables – lately I have been almost completely gluten free.
l. I avoid environmental toxins – don’t heat food in plastic, use stainless drinking bottles, stainless steel cookware, etc.
m. I live in Florida so I get lots of sunshine each weekend (vitamin D).
n. I try to reduce stress and get at least 7 hours quality sleep.
4. From now on, I am going to get lots of tail! …and wholeheartedly appreciate the ability to have great sex!

So there you have it. I sincerely hope this post helps you, my fellow sufferers, and I will pop in periodically to hay hello

while it may work for you but I don’t agree with you that HPTA is f****. It is not not related with HPTA at all. Any steroid user who got HPTA shut down for years (whalen72 is a good example here he remained shutdwon for 4 years and then started HRT and got normal with plain TRT no arimidex etc) when start T-injection they get normal. The need for arimidex is itself is cryingin that it is not the case.
What about MTF grils? they just inject T and they are fine no anti-Estrogen.
our prolblem , I believe is at cellular level, Awor is right.

Wow. That is a lot of stuff…

May I ask how you afford it all?

Have you tried this protocol? No? I didn’t think so. Then how do you know it doesn’t work? According to Dr. Crisler, he has had about 50-60% sucess rate with PFS sufferers on this protocol and my protocol is very similar to his. I think thats proof enough for me! I also think the other 50% weren’t managing E2 correctly which can give you ED as bad as PFS or worse. I should know, I experienced it first hand. I am pretty much tired of trying to tell you guys about my sucess with this thing only to get shut down by at least one of you!

As for affording it, now that I have the protocol down pat I switched to an inexpensive Anti-Aging clinic here in S. Florida and getting the HGH from a Chinese pharmaceutical company (this is risky! watch for fakes!). Very pleased with the quality so far and 1/10th of the price of US pharmaceutical grade HGH I was getting from my AA doc. Everything else is pretty much suppliments you can buy OTC.

Larry you have just started this protocol and I think it is too early to claim a victory. Sorry I am not discrouging you but I mean you need to wait for a long time unitll you feel your results are persistant then you can come here and claime that you have found something to resolve your issues. JN is a doctor and has been fighting for 10 years and from his past posts you can see how many times he has claimed to have found the solution. Please dont take my comments as negative and keep doing what you are doing maybe we will find some answer to this.

Larry keep us updated on your progress. I’m following with interest.

Well I’m back… You guys were right… I guess I am here to stay :frowning: This shit is nothing short of fucking chemical castration!!! I GIVE UP!!!

The protocol worked great for a little over a month and now I am back where I started after spending SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS. Not even Cialis helps me now. Cialis’s effectiveness seems to wear off after a while. My GF is long gone :frowning: I have literally tried everything listed above, and lately I have even experimented with PT141 and Cabergoline. Nothing works for very long!!! I am completely fucked!!!

The only thing positive I got out of this whole mess is the body of my dreams, but what’s that get me? Laid? Yea right! I am going to try and PCT off the Test C and see if I can restart my HPTA. I will let you know how it turns out. Maybe someday I will recover naturally but I doubt it after all this time. I will also wait to see what turns out from the class action lawsuits, but all the money in the world can’t bring back my sex life!

Thanks for letting me rant!

Ur welcome man.

Have you tried arginine with pycnogenol? Some users report good success with it, if you can have your t levels naturally at 500-600 with low e2 (dim/zinc) and above combo, you might have some succes.

Another user on here reports better wood with an arginine based GH stimulator, so perhaps arginine is good enough.

Another option would be Citrulline combined with pycnogenol, as citrulline keeps arginine levels higher for longer, and the pycnogenol “recycles” it.

Restart and try it out.

I just wanted to write one last note. I completed a PCT off HRT about a month and a half ago and felt better for a little while. As in all the other cases it didn’t last more than a month or so and I crashed again. It seems that whatever I try, I have some short term success, but that fades back into total ED about a month later.

I have gone back to see an AA doctor that is associated with Dr. Crisler here in Florida and got back on HRT (briefly). I had some great success at first (just like the last time) but have now crashed back into total ED again this week. I have discovered to my horror that my medical insurance is denying all my medical and lab claims over the last 6 months and I am now the proud owner of thousands of dollars in bills that will take me years to pay off. I have thrown everything I had at this financially, physically, and emotionally. I have come to the basic conclusion that this is going to be a lifelong condition. I feel like an old man in his 90s… remembering his long lost days of hot women and great sex; but for me it seems that that is exactly what it will be … a memory.

What is left for me is one word - Acceptance. I have to finally accept the fact that there is nothing I can do about this. I have never given up on anything in my life until now. Maybe there will be a cure for us someday, and I hope for you much younger sufferers that that is the case. I also hope that I can meet a woman that will accept me as I am, with my disability, and I can have some resemblance of a happy life with her. Finally, I hope that Merck has to pay dearly for what they have done to us with their poison. However, as I said before, no amount of money can bring back the one thing in life that I enjoyed the most… sex!

I will drop in now and then to see what the latest news is, but I don’t see any point in continuing to post as it is just too depressing for me. Thank you for listening to me over the months. I wish you all the very best and hope that one day we will all overcome!
