My odd experience after my MRI test - head pain/pressures returned

Prior to having my MRI done, my head was not hurting much at all, or for at least 4 days straight. I have bad head pressures and headaches every day since stopping “pro-poop-shit.”

Interesting thing occurred after my MRI. My head was completely in pain and my headaches returned in full force. The headache’s came back right after rising from the MRI table, and after getting injected with the standard dye. I was also dizzy, confused and somewhat “out of it”

My theory is that we(the guys with headaches-brain fog-mental changes) are definitely suffering from possible nerve damage in the brain OR inflamed neuro pathways post propecia usage. The dye that was injected into me supposedly re-aggravated something in the brain or neuro pathways?

Any thoughts or comments?

Your head pains after the MRI are likely due to the MRI and contrast dye itself, as many others have suffered similar problems:

Mew, appreciate the links and thank you for the reply, but not in my case.

I had an MRI done after a car accident in 2002. After that MRI, I felt fine and had no issues or problems after and went back to work that very day.

I have a good hunch, that the mri procedure this time aggravated “something’” that fin. had disrupted or injured chemically, since the dye traveled through "potentially sore/injured/damaged nerves and blood vessels in the brain. We have to agree that fin. has chemically reversed or stunted some processes in order for it to produce it’s results. Right?

This quote was taken from the site you had referred me to: “I just had a cervical mri last night. Late last night and tonight I have pressure/squeezing sensation in my head. I was involved in a car accident a week and 1/2 ago. I have a sprained neck. Are the head aches because of the mri or the injuries?”

Perhaps, there is indeed some neorological damage to the area of the spine that theoretically has been depleted of the 5AR. This area is where the spinal cord meets the brain has also been known to produce some of the bodies 5AR. Maybe the headaches and squeezing pressures in the back of the head, are as a reult, or in response to the healing process itself?

I wish I only knew!

Interesting theory about the MRIs. I have had several MRIs while on propecia. Around the same period I became so forgetful and out of it that I was fired from a great job I had in CT.

thanks. Unfortunately, these are only theories…the merck cocksuckers have the real data…wouldn’t it be nice if there was a drug to do the opposite of what propecia does in order for the processes to go back to normal!

a frankenstinian concoction i tell you!

Do no harm : how a magic bullet for prostate cancer became a medical quandary
Justman, Stewart.

Summary
The award-winning author of Seeds of Mortality: The Public and Private Worlds of Cancer examines the complexities of medical decision-making over approving a pill for preventing prostate cancer. In the contexts of historical attitudes toward Hippocratic oath takers and media spins on this story, Justman (English, U. of Montana) explains why Proscar (finasteride) was deemed too risky despite a promising clinical trial. (It is still considered safe to use to treat an enlarged prostate.) The book includes an interview with the author’s urologist and a glossary.
