My life is ruined with only 3 doses of finasteride

That’s good to hear! I’m 5 months out too and think I’m also going through “mini crashes” now. Similar to you, the distance between crashes is much longer and the crash itself is much less extreme so that has to be a good sign.
Right now my biggest issue is the girth of my erection. It’s just not there and the strength ranges from 60-80%. Also the head of my penis is extremely sensitive. When I am receiving head I usually have to tell them to stop because of how painful it is. Hoping that goes away and hoping for a full recovery for both of us soon!

Hey, man.

I’m glad to see your crashes getting less and less severe. It’s always nice to see someone else also improving.

I’m doing better today, so if my suspicions are correct, the recovery time from these mini crashes have gone down as well.

Hey, guys.

Happy to report that my sleep is getting better.
I woke up to my alarm and forbthe first time in 6 months, I actually felt annoyed by it and went right back to sleep. I actually woke back up past 9 and I was late for work. I also felt drowsy as I got up.
I know it sounds funny, but im actuqlly happy about this.
My sleep was one of the first things that recovered, but it felt like I hit a plateau for 4 months. For the past week, my sleep improved drastically.

I think everyone should hold off on experimenting. Most of my symptoms showed no improvement until months later.

Hey, people.

I’m approaching my 6-month mark post fin. It’s been a very difficult ride, especially getting hit with so many side effects at once. I was in a very dark place just 5 months ago.

I’ve made tremendous progress with all my symptoms (Except libido). I still have some physical side effects, and I’m unsure if they’ll ever go away completely. I’m coming to accept that my androgen receptors got screwed beyond repair, and I just have to live with that for the rest of my life.
This is the new normal now. No more alcohol. No more junk food. No more lifting heavy things (Shoulder joint problems) for long periods of time. No more attraction to anyone.
It sucks, and it makes me sad to see how this drug crippled me. I know I should be grateful to have made so much progress considering the state I was in 5 months ago. There aren’t many cases like mine where there was such a huge recovery after having so many sides, and in April, it really did feel like I had the worst case of PFS. Yet despite my recovery, I’m still so angry and depressed most times.

Anyway, I’ll keep coming here to discuss any improvements or relapses I have.

Hope all of you are doing well.

Hey, guys.

I think I regressed a bit. Back pain went away for 2 weeks before returning again, though it’s only a very slight uncomfortable pressure rather than pain.
My shoulders are starting to hurt and pop more now.

I will stop all supplements and probiotics starting today.

What physical side effects, other than low libido, would you stay you’ve gotten stuck with?

You could just be at the low ebb of an oscillation in symptoms. You’ve recovered a lot and there may well be minor improvements in the future. Keep your head up.

Back pain, cracking joints, pain in shoulder joints.

Yes, hope that this is just a minor and temporary set-back.

I’m sorry about those lingering issues, but I think there’s a bright side – if you’re mind is good and your sexual symptoms, sans-libido, are cleared up, I’d still say you’ve made a very strong recovery! For a new normal, it’s not too bad at all. And we never know what the future might bring.

So glad to hear that you recovered from most of your symptoms and are bearing your burdens well before you! It’s encouraging for the rest of us including myself.

If you don’t mind me asking, do you think the keto diet fixed your digestive problems. I too am having really bad digestive issues and it is causing me pain, discomfort, and the lack of feeling hungry. It also growls a lot despite not feeling hungry.

I’m not really sure why my digestive symptoms are improving. I just knew that certain foods triggered digestive issues, and I avoided those foods.
I tried Keto for about 2 weeks, but I got off it and went on a regular diet.

It’s been a slow recovery, but here was my progression from start to today:

First month - stomach pains, growling noises, diarrhea after every meal, undigested food in stool.
Second month - Only ate food that didn’t trigger stomach pains. Stomach pains lessened in frequency. Still had growling noises and diarrhea every now and then
Fourth month - Stomach pain went away. Only had diarrhea seldomly and if I ate junk food like gatorade or ramen.
Fifth month - I’m better able to tolerate carbs.
Today - I can eat whatever I want without triggering digestive issues. Caffeine and sugary beverages still make me feel like shit (Low energy, joint pains). Stool is sometimes not well-formed.

That growling noise you hear is your body not digesting food properly. How long are you off fin?

So today, I had my first strong desire to have sex.
My shoulder joint pain went away, thankfully. Back pain went away, too.
My shoulder joints were cracking a lot less yesterday, but flared up again when I took a canned beverage.

I believe my joint popping noises are connected to what I’m eating. I’ll have to do some trial-and-error.

That’s awesome man. Although, my digestive issue is slightly different. I have severe constipation (single stool comes out small and slim) and have not been able to find relief in days. Feels like everything is blocked and nothing is moving.

I’ve been off fin since this past Monday, so basically 5 days now. I just need something to relieve this terrible constipation I’m having, which is causing stomach aches and pain

Ahh, I see. You’re only 5 days off fin, so you have some hope.

Your case sounds a lot like mine. I also had severe constipation, but then I took barley grass powder and it changed to diarrhea.

Whatever you do, DO NOT TAKE SUPPLEMENTS OR POWDERED SUBSTANCES!!!
Eat regular food like sweet potatoes, chicken, vegetables, fruits, etc.

My symptoms got worse after taking that barley grass powder, and it took months for me to recover from that.

Don’t take any medications either. I know how tempting it is to experiment given the severity of your symptoms, but don’t give in.
I’m almost 100% sure that my recovery is due to me avoiding things that triggered bad reactions rather than me trying random shit.

I hear you man  although it is quite tough abstaining from things like laxatives as the pain can be quite tremendous. It has also caused me to lack any desire to eat most times, as it feels like everything is just building up inside my stomach. I’ve had a tablespoon of coconut oil and have some Aloe Vera coming in the mail, but still no relief

Yes, I know what you’re talking about. I had stabbing pains in my stomach for months.
It will get better. Just hang on there, brother.

Today has been the best day so far in terms of symptoms.
No back pain and dramatically lower joint popping noises.

I still think I’m sensitive to certain foods. I know that cheesecake and sugary beverages cause slight tinnitus and zits (More than pre-fin).
I have to maintain a healthier diet.

First Back pain episode:

  • Lasted 4 months
  • Pain relief for 3 weeks

Second Back pain episode:

  • Lasted 7-8 days
  • Pain relief for 3 weeks

Third Back pain episode

  • Lasted 4 days

I think that is an improvement.
