My first results please help me :(

Took proscar for around 14 years. Stopped December 2010. Have had massive auto immune problems, some sexual sides, brain fog, fatigue. Life sucks now. I don’t know how to interpret these tests. Seen 5 different doctors they wont take me seriously at all.

Testosterone 5.8. Ref(10.0-30)
Testosterone free calculated 127. ref(90-700)
Testosterone bioavailable 3.0. Ref(2-16)
Androstenedione 2.9. Ref(1.6-8.8)
Dhea sulphate 1.3. Ref(4.6-18.2)

Thanks.

Your first result is hypogonadal / outside the reference range (low).
The other 2 results are also extremely low, borderline hypogonadal.

Clearly, you have extremely low Testosterone / Free testosterone levels.

How could 5 doctors not consider this an issue?

Have you seen an endocrinologist?

Have you provided them materials like recent FDA labeling updates, news article excerpts etc from the homepage of propeciahelp.com ?

Could you elaborate on these auto immune problems?

My first post I did on my phone so that was hard to type out. I have only seen 2 doctors about this blood work, both said it was normal. I have seen at least 5 or 6 doctors about this condition in general and none take me serious that I have side effects from proscar.

A brief history
1997ish, 20 years old start taking proscar for hair loss. Totally healthy person.

1998ish, end up in hospital with severe anemia. Doctors have no idea why. Treated with prednisone for a few days and recover.

1999ish, become SEVERELY ill. Cannot get off my couch, cannot lift my legs to walk over things. I was working hard labour at a saw mill at the time. Had problems swallowing, basically felt like I was dying. I was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis. Put on high dose prednisone and methotrexate along with other drugs. These help but pretty much ruin my life. (Gained 70 pounds in 5 months on prednisone). Stop taking prednisone after 1 year, continue on rest. I could no longer work and had to go on disability. Doctors say nothing about the proscar I am taking the entire time.
My condition gets a bit better over the years but I basically spend the next 10 years horribly ill.

December 2010, I start reading this forum and think there might be a correlation. I stop taking the proscar. I start feeling quite a bit better physically. No longer have as hard of a time with stairs etc. After a couple months I start to get sexual side effects though. Penis shrinks and starts to turtle. Looks sick and different color. Lose sex drive. These sexual sides have gotten a bit better but I am still struggling with them. My auto immune problems are still here but not near as bad. I feel stronger then when I was on proscar.

April 2012, I get this blood work done. I have very low Testosterone. I am wondering if anyone has any help for me. Would TRT help me??

Here is my full blood work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This forum is so confusing to me there is so much medical jargon.

Nobody here has any help for me after looking at my test results?

Hey man,

Why are your liver values high?

U taking any drugs ? Booze?

Your platelets are low like mine.

Your LH is low meaning that your body does not seem to be trying to create more testosteorone. Perhaops there is a reason for this. You could try TRT, and see what happens.

Try the cream if you like, exopensive or try shots. Inject Test E evey 2 days at about 15mg every 2 days. See how you feel on that. That should get u mid range.

Its wiorth a try. You could try for 2-3 weeks and quit and you should have no problem with recovery.

I have an endocrynologist appointment in one week. What can i do to make sure i get the best out of the appointment.
I have to drive 5 hrs to get there i dont want to mess this up it took 5 diff doctors to gdt thr referal.

Take published studies and other useful information to prove the condition does exist and to spread awareness through the medical community.

Good to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Please keep us updated on how you are doing.

I noticed that you mentioned auto immune problems.
Do you mean that you are susceptible to colds, flus, infection etc?
