My experience with cold thermogenesis

I recently did some CT in order to supplement my increasing cortisol from using the Circadian T3 Method (CT3M). I started with 5 minute cold showers throughout the day and then included 30-45 min cold baths where I was only able to get the tempuratire down to 60 degrees which ended up raising to 70 degrees from my body heat. Energy, mood, metabolism, and confidence went up, balls noticeably expanded, brain fog started lifting, sleep improved, temps were rising to sometimes over 99 degrees. The results were so good that I became addicted to the experience and I was really excited to see where it would lead me. However, I also experienced a huge estrogen surge where my nipples got really painful. My understanding of what happened is the following:

When my body temp goes high, my metabolic rate is higher, so my cells make androgen receptors at a higher rate (in fact they make all receptors at a higher rate). It seems my testicles are constantly making enough T, because my cells suck in extra T at this time.

Over several hours my body temp drops and the androgen receptor rate drops. But that’s not the problem. The problem now is that my cells have too much T for their (now lower) metabolic rate. ie: when their metabolic rate was high, the extra T was fine. Now that their metabolic rate is lower, they don’t need the extra T - so they have to dump the extra T into E2, because they can’t “store” the T for later. Apparently that’s true of all hormones - cells dump them when they don’t need them, rather than store them.

The extra E2 triggers the cascade which causes the sore nips.

When my body temp goes high, the process starts all over again.

My question is why does my body choose to dump excess T into (almost entirely) E2, instead of mostly DHT (the norm), but only when my metabolic rate drops too low?

have you checked maybe you hypothyroid? you can get stable & upregulated metabolic rate if you cycle it.

I am hypothyroid and have low free cortisol, that’s why I’m doing the Circadian T3 Method. My temps are mid 97 in the morning and rise to low 98 throughout the day, so I have a ways to go before I’m stable at 98.6 which won’t happen till at least November but probably later. At that point I will attempt CT again but use a moderate dose of an AI at the same time
