I think the libido/ED problem is caused by hormonal imbalance and muscle atrophy. I’m very sensitive to drugs and changes to my body in general. Within the first 4 months I was using finasteride, I noticed drastic changes to my PC muscle. My libido was reduced within the first couple of weeks, and I had softer erections. As time went by, things got worse. Anyway, my PC muscle began failing to contract, and I noticed it was relaxing more and more. At the end, I also experienced pain in the scrotum area, where this muscle ends. Simply DHT deficiency I believe, which led to altered testosterone/estrogen ratio (low/high) and several problems associated with it (among them muscle atrophy because of testosterone deficiency - Dr. Shippen). To confirm this, contract your PC muscle and hold. Not to much, just a little bit. Strange it doesn’t get tired isn’t it? Try doing this while having an orgasm, and you’ll feel more pleasure. I believe reduced sensitivity to the penis is caused by lack of blood. The fuller it is, the more sensitive it gets.
Now, I’ve been experimenting with various steroids, one of them andractim. I used a small amount on my penis and scrotum for a couple of weeks, and noticed that the penis tissue is not as soft any more. It’s more firm as it’s supposed to be.
I’m on HRT because of secondary hypogonadism induced by finasteride, and I’m currently having trouble with testosterone/estrogen ratio after use of anastrozole. I’ll share my experience as time goes on. I think the key is to replace testosterone and control estrogen (restore libido), restore sexual function with DHT supplement if needed, and do kegel exercises. Libido and ED is the only problem left for me.
