hello everyone,
I’m a new member who has sacrificd his sexual and mental health for hair. I regret taking the advice of a dermatologist who switched me over to dut last year. My life - has been ruined. I’m trying to get an appointmnt with Dr but in the neantine got these results through my GP. The worst of my sides are insomnia severe anxiety impotence and almost zero libido. I feel hopeless.

cortisol levels were 50% above upper range but i dont have results with me

Im in trouble. What type of treatment will hlp me most? HcG? TRT?

The high LH and FSH could be a sign that your testes aren’t producing testosterone as efficiently as they should be, but you need to speak with an endocrinologist, they will discuss the possible options available to you.

Did that dermatologist tell you that Dutasteride is not approved as a treatment for hair loss? If not, you should sue his ass.

Anyone think my Estrodiol is too high?
If been under a lot of stress lately and have insomnia(I think its related to my dut use). Does stress and lack of sleep produce excess estrogen. My cortisol is high. Any ideas if high cortisol impacts the testes to reduce production of test?

You are off the drugs, right?

Fin and Dut impair nitric oxide synthase release and GABA-A receptor function in brain, and that can cause loss of REM sleep, wakefulness and insomnia.

yes E is high. get prolactin tested.
high fsh and lh mean the loop is intack and brain is sensing that T is low but something is inhibiting your testes from producing normal level of T.

I’m off propecia nad Dut since March 1st 2010.
What would prolactin levels show?

according to dr bain everything was normal with exception of E
he prescribed me 1mg of arimidex per day in hopes of loweing E (-50%) boosting T(+50%) and thus DHT

i hope this works
if not he will use hcg, clomid etc to try to get my dht production going

ill keep everyone posted

prolactin levels were normal as well as bo test was in middle of range
had dht tested but havent received results yet

Sex,

What concerns me, especially in my case where my hormones have recovered, is a thyroid that is not functioning correctly. I would look at our thyroid extensively and take your body temperature a few times during the day. A low body temperature could mean your hypothyroid…

Anonn1, did you get hormones checked for thryoid yet? I’m awaiting results of a TRH stimulation test I did just a couple of days ago. I should have my results in about a week. I’ll post the results on my thread and the thread JN created for Thyroid test results.

get prepared to have SUPERLOW estradiol and NO WOOD with that dose of arimidex!

god some docs are so stupid

i would just go for clomid or hcg immediately, but that’s just me
