My blood results.

Hi all,

I am 27, took Propecia 1x day for about 45 days in 2003. Symptoms included watery ejaculate, weak erections, otherwise fine. I felt something was obviously wrong and after stopping things seemed normal, but erections remained weak and still are 7 years after quitting. Before I had a high sex drive, never any problems, now I am really afraid to perform due to weak erections. Maybe it’s in my head now? I am looking for some feedback on these results. Can you guys recommend further testing? This is all my Dr. would test me for at this point. Dr. seemed concerned with my high level of free test. He is going to ask endo and get back to me. He didn’t say anything about my low FSH.

What is your erection quality like when you’re just masterbating by yourself?

I’d give it a 6 out of 10 when I masturbate. I can work with it, but it’s never a 10 like it was before the Propecia. I should also throw in that nocturnal erections are hit or miss, maybe 4 a week, spontaneous erections about the same but when they do come they’re about a 5 out of 10. 10 being pre Propecia. I know my blood tests aren’t complete, but can anything be surmised by looking at them?

my symptoms are similar to yours. I get night erections and spontaneous ones almost every day, but they are weak. The weakness is what’s bringing me down. My goal is to try to get it out of my head and see if it makes a difference. I’m able to perform in bed though. I wonder if some people who haven’t taken fin have symptoms similar to ours.

In your hormones the only thing that looks out of whack is prolactin is kind of high it can have an effect on things down there.

can anyone else comment?

THere was a guy on this site that had high Prolactin. He took Cabergoline and he claims his side effects went away. You may was look into that, your prolactin is definitely high.

Get 3-ADIOL G tested. This is important!

hey man i also have low fsh and have similar sides to u, u should check ur estradiol with bloods

Your FSH is very low, less than 3 is considered secondary hypogonadal, yet your free and total testosterone are within normal limits.

I would recommend a serum test for Inhibin B (inhibin can suppress FSH), repeat FSH test, and test 3a andrastanediol glucuronide (Adiol G)

kazman,

Thanks for the insight. I have posted more tests and would appreciate your feedback as well.

Any help to interpret these results and/or recommend more tests done would be HIGHLY appreciated!!!

ED has been getting worse. I can rarely maintain an erection for more than a few minutes.

02/09/10 - Went to see ED specialist. Got sensitivity test, rigidity test, and ultrasound for blood flow. Dr. said my nocturnal rigidity test was about 70%, but still normal. All other tests were completely normal. Blood was taken at 10:40 AM, non fasting. That should explain my slightly higher cholesterol. Dr. said based on results I should be 100% normal, but obviously I am not!

your estradial looks a bit high(the testosterone/estradial ratio should be around 50:1)

So A sweet spot for your estradial should be between 15-20 i would say.

Also, what is your SHBG, and what is your FREE Testosterone?

Thanks for the comments. What is recommended to lower estradiol? My shbg was posted above, and free T posted in the original post.

Any additional comments?

try some vitamin b6 in the p5p form which is assimilated good by the body

two times 50 mg daily

this should help lower prolactin and can increase dopamine production

estradiol: you could buy a trial pack of arimidex at alldaychemist website and see if this helps

try .25 mg twice a week
