Moonman1's story

Good stuff BP, just be careful that your blood pressure doesnt drop too low. What dose did you take?

2 mg never felt close to fainting… But I did feel very mellow and relaxed.

mellow and relaxed sounds great … my nerves are always so rattled and i feel so unsettled and uncomfortable all the time now that to feel mellow again would be frickin awesome

Oh also if you take it before bed you seem to get better sleep with no bad dreams… It’s used for this as well. Also good for people with ptsd. Usually my dreams are violent and involve fighting… Lol my xgirlfriend used to tell me I would throw mock punches and kicks in my sleep, and have full on arguments in my sleep… Makes sense when you see this stuff reduces the effects of the fight or flight response.

Moonman1, how is your energy now? Did your energy stay improved after coming off hydro or did you have to use it again?

I tried to come off of HC back in early 2012. I was fine for about 3-4 months, but the entire time I could just feel that I was not ready to be off of it. So I went back on. About 2 months ago I stopped taking it again and have felt fine off of HC since then. This time is for real, I feel good. I have a lot of energy these days. I am working 45 hours a week, going to Grad. school full time, have a girl friend, and I exercise 2-3 times a week. I would say I am up to 80% with energy, mood, and brain function. Consider that just a few years ago I could barely even get up for work. Sexually I still have a ways to go, but I am doing better there as well.

I think my current “nutritional regimen” is what is holding me steady. Before dropping the HC I had been on it for 6-9 months and could just feel that my body was stronger.

Thanks for the reply, fatigue seems to be my biggest issue, I will be looking to try this soon.

After 5 months on saw palmetto for prostate issues, I just got off of it because I realized it might be the cause of my ridiculously low libido. I know you’ve been saying that hat hasn’t improved much, but has in improved at all in past years?

Try Ashawaghanda. Authentic Shilajit also helps.

These steps also helps to increase DHT and recover from PFS

what is the name of the medication alpha blocker? i have HF from 7 days of finasteride use.

Seems like you started fin at the same age I did, and have suffered for quite a while.
Did you improve over the years, or have you found a reliable way to cope with it?

Wow, its been 8 years since I posted in my own thread.

@Call_Me_Fighter
I took saw palmetto, but same result…

I was able to improve over the years, but only through interventions.
Below are the best things I found that helped…
-Focusing on adrenal health,
-this included taking cortef for a long time, i was on and off and sometimes still stress dose
-Changing lifestyle factors… I used to party a lot. Now I sleep well, siesta if needed, study and practice stoicim
-Figure out what exercises make you feel better and worse and stay away from the ones that make you feel worse
-walk alot and often, and be outside as much as possible
-change your diet to avoid any foods that have 5ari’s or ar disrupters (I have multiple posts on this in my history)
-Only after I got to 85%, was the CD Nuts protocol able to have any benefits with me. Once it did help, I responses to TRT much better, but you still have to balance it
-Vit D, pregenenolone, ALCAR, rhodoila, cordyceps, monolaurin have all been staples
-I did a pretty big parasite cleanse, which was slightly rough - I expelled lots of parasites but came out the other end feeling much improved. I do not think parasites cause PFS, but PFS causes your entire body to go out of homeostasis, which allows parasites to dominate. I was going coffee enemas, mimosa piduca, monolaurin, coloidal silver, and a parasite cleanser (always be careful with parasite herbs because many of them are also 5ar inhibitors)
-thyroid… when adrenals go out of what it then caused thyroid to get messed up. Rt3 if often high. I use cytomel in small doses now everyday. however i will say that fixing adrenals was far more beneficial than thyroid
-get a job that is lowish stress and not physically taxing

Even after all that got me to 90-95% physically, my libido was still almost non existent and my ED continued to be terrible. One year ago I got a penile implant to help with that side of things.
