Moly's Member Madness

I recently had my stool analyzed with Metametrix DNA stool analysis, and my yeast/fungus section was 4+ (> 100000 pg DNA/g specimen) which is the largest positive result this test reports. I clearly have a serious systemic fungal infection. I figured I would let you guys know.

Also, I’m seeing a doctor this week, and will be requesting both a nystatin prescription, as well as a T3 prescription for my thyroid. I’ll report back if anything works.

Interesting. Before every jumps back in the fungus bandwagon thou… Realize hormonal imbalances themselves make the body more vulnerable to fungus… So before everyone says “OMG IT’S FUNGUS IT MUST BE” the fungus may just be a symptom of the underlying issue.

Hey,

Thanks for the info. Keep us posted. How’s your hormonal profile?

Not trying to jack thread by the way. Just really intrested.

I think it has something to do with it. “Nitrous Oxide also regulates adrenal function and endocrine function”. I noticed a fair few people have low aldosterone = acidicity(cells protect themselves) = growing ground for bacteria fungus = lots of side effects, pale skin, dry skin, muscle twitches, back pain, eye floaters etc etc… youtube.com/watch?v=9vhHe55s9rg

An Imbalance In the body’s pH may lead to serious health concerns, including:
Hormone concerns
Cardiovascular weakness
Weight gain/loss
Bladder and kidney concerns.
Immune deficiency
Acceleration of free radical damage.
Structural system weakness, including brittle bones, hip fractures and joint discomfort
Stressed liver function
Low energy
Slow digestion and elimination
Yeast/fungal overgrowth.
Tumor growth

I’ve been taking sodium bicarbonate which is alkalizer/anti-fungal and i’ve been able to go to loo properly and muscle twitches have decreased. though it can also be a hormonal issue which is possibly the case also which is lots of fun for bacteria/fungus because the cells are trying to protect themselves. I don’t understand why my testosterone is not going up though.

i suspected this too

I had very comprehensive hormone panels done before. I posted them on this site (I’m 90% sure). If you can’t find them, let me know and I’ll post. The general message was that my testosterone, estrogens, DHEAs, progesterone, etc etc etc were all normal.

The abnormals were: My free testosterone was a little low. My SHBG was a little high. My Reverse T3 was very high. My night time cortisol was high.

I never did make a post documenting my condition. I shall start one now so everyone knows all my symptoms, and my lab results etc.

sure, propecia fuck with our hormones… fungus that is a oportunistic guy, grow a lot,
because of this we never recovered

Yeah sounds very similar to myself low free test and decreasing SHBG. Couldn’t find your hormonal panel very intrested to take a look.

Cheers,

also some intresting info. I am in no way saying that it is just fungal related to PFS though i believe it plays a major factor in some of the symptoms.

"Urinary pH Test: The pH of the urine indicates how the body is working to maintain the proper pH of the blood. The urine reveals the alkaline building (anabolic) and acid tearing down (catabolic) cycles. The pH of urine indicates the efforts of the body via the kidneys, adrenals, lungs and gonads to regulate pH through the buffer salts and hormones. Urine can provide a fairly accurate picture of body chemistry, because the kidneys filter out the buffer salts of pH regulation and provide values based on what the body is eliminating. Urine pH can vary from around 4.5 to 9.0 for its extremes, but the ideal range is 5.8 to 6.8. " - Refer back to my info above about low aldosterone.

Formatted version of my lab results are available here…

I have also had a CT scan of my abdomen after urinating large amounts of blood which revealed many stones in my prostate; bacterial cultures of the urine were negative.

  1. Anything not listed in the above questions you’d like to share about your experience with Finasteride?

I have recently had a stool sample completed which revealed very high levels of yeast in my intestines.

  1. Tell us your story, in your own words, about your Finasteride usage and side effects experienced while on/off the drug.

This drug is a nightmare that is doing everything it can to destroy my life. I am fighting back with everything I have.

Well if he treats his fungus infection then comes back here and says he feels fantastic and all the other sides are gone… then its definitely worth looking into.

every single little point (redish and blackish) shouldnt be there…no words are necessary.

What kind of bacteria or fungus are they?

For a formatted version of my lab results see HERE.

Hey Brazillian dude,

Did you see my video i posted on unhealthy blood above?

“estrogen feed fungus, when we cut down dht testosterone became less dht and more estrogen screw our system, fungus overgrow, fungus live in digestive tract and sexual tract, is normal we have a blockage , our adrenal is working very hard, because this we can’t produce hormones properly”

I’m typing up the whole stool analysis results now. I’ll post it in my new member post.

I also posted a link to my lab results in that thread as well.

YEs i did propeciashiz…in fact all of our vital energy is being used to keep this under control! MAN IM SO FUCKING HAPPY, to me this a solved problem

It’s hard whether it’s the intial hormone imbalance which is causing fungal growth and it will disapear with treatment or else it’s a contiunous hormonal problem which will only be temporary if you treat it with anti fungals etc.

Good to hear we are making some discoveries… It’d be great to see more people with this problem so we can see if it’s a common trend, it explains a lot of extra side effects i’ve picked up. As i said earlier i’ve been feeling a bit better on sodium bicarbonate which is a antifungal/alkalizer. I’m still concerned that 5ar2 might be playing a role in the excess estrogen some have been producing. I’m in with the researchers on the 8th of August so i’m going to present this information. Get faeces results, urine tests, saliva cortisol and hormonal profiles. I think this is a stepping stone.

“estrogen feed fungus, when we cut down dht testosterone became less dht and more estrogen screw our system, fungus overgrow, fungus live in digestive tract and sexual tract, is normal we have a blockage , our adrenal is working very hard, because this we can’t produce hormones properly”

I took anti-fungals (for jock itch) for a week and saw no differance.

Well if Finasteride= immunosupressant.

Hey Pecker, Antifungals will not alkalize your blood levels just attack fungus not alkalize blood which will keep growing fungas if you dont fix that first. In my oppion. I’m trying sodium bicarbonate and feeling a little better. So who know’s? get a faeces test. I’m thin 5ar2 may be involved.

“There are also many drug interactions. Patients must read in detail the enclosed data sheet(s) of the medicine. For example, the azole antifungals such as ketoconazole or itraconazole can be both substrates and inhibitors of the P-glycoprotein, which (among other functions) excretes toxins and drugs into the intestines.[1] Azole antifungals also are both substrates and inhibitors of the cytochrome P450 family CYP3A4,[1] causing increased concentration when administering, for example, calcium channel blockers, immunosuppressants, chemotherapeutic drugs, benzodiazepines, tricyclic antidepressants, macrolides and SSRIs.”

The 2 sigma confidence interval is in parenthesis. There is a bunch more crap, but I don’t really want to type it. If you want anything else from the report let me know.

I’m wondering if anyone has a similar experience to this…

I used to use Nizoral 2% shampoo. This was, of course, for hair loss reasons. I quit finasteride in March 2011, but continued to use the shampoo for approximately 4-5 months. During this 4-5 months, my mental side effects cleared up for the most part. I was still not recovered though, and I thought that ketaconazole may have been being absorbed systemically, so I stopped using it.

At around 6 months off finasteride, my mental side effects began to return. The were gradual at first, for example, they were often worse in the morning, but better at night. They were notably worse after ejaculation. Unfortunately, over time, the symptoms began to persist, and now I have been in a permanent mental fog for nearly a year now.

I’m thinking the shampoo was holding back the fungal infection, and when I stopped using it, the fungus was able to take over. What do you all think?
