Misdiagnosis of Brain Fog?

Well first of all, Brain Fog seems to be a generic term and I mean no disrespect to anyone who is or has suffered from associated symptoms. I have felt “foggy” for about 3 months now. I had recovered from a nasty flu that lasted about 2 weeks and really never felt “all the way better”. At the time I assumed that it was just a touch of the infection lingering. As time went on the fogginess increased until about a month ago I began having PRESSURE IN MY EARS AND EAR CRACKING SIMILAR TO WHAT YOU WOULD FEEL AFTER SWIMMING. I have seen an Ear, nose, and throat doctor and he couldn’t find any infection. However I am allergic to dogs, and we have two at home. I was put on Patanase and Omnaris nasal sprays, as well as a course of antibiotic which seemed to help because since then the pressure has freed up some. I have felt some moisture in my ear and a cool sensation since then as the pressure decreased. My question is… HAS ANYONE ON HERE HAD THE EARCRACKING/PRESSURE SYMPTOMS ALONG WITH BRAINFOG SYMPTOMS. I HAVE BEEN REALLY FREAKING OUT OVER THIS AND I DON’T WANT TO CONVINCE MYSELF WHAT I HAVE IS FIN RELATED IF IT’S SOMETHING ELSE THAT’S COMPLETELY TREATABLE.

ALSO, HAVE YOU GUYS FOUND THAT INCREASING T LEVELS DECREASED THE BRAIN FOG SYMPTOMS??

Not sure what you meand by ‘ear cracking’, but I have had fairly constant pressure in the ears and occasional tinitus (ringing) for about 1 year.

My “brain fog” consists mainly of a very “spaced out” feeling, comparable to being stoned. Also my vision is altered… everything looks very bright. It’s very hard to concentrate and I am constantly making stupid mistakes throughout the day. :frowning:

I have had head popping/snapping noises in back of my scalp. It’s very similar to the experience of turning your neck back and forth and hearing your neck creak or pop.

I think we may have damaged blood vessels or nerve damage as a result of using this junk. You need to get this checked. I also have tinitus and have learned from doctors that this can be from possible nerve damage.

You should get blood work done, if you haven’ t already done that. There is lot of different things to test for.

A lack of T could be causing some of your eye problems, but also be sure to get your thyroid tested as well. Several of us have poor test results for Thyroid. One of the sides of Thyroid problems is eye problems.

good luck.
