Minoxidil & Ketoconazole - Makes it even worse?

Since quitting finasteride 3 years ago I still occasionally use some hair regrowth products trying to battle off the hairloss, wich got us all into this fucking mess.

Some days I feel my already weak erections are being hammered and I have no chance in hell to get aroused, thinking this might be another medication playing its game, holding hands with my old proscar pills.

So I looked into the internet and discovered that both rogaine (Minoxidil) used to hair regrowth (not a DHT blocker), and Nizoral (Ketoconazole, topical DHT blocker) -might- affect erections aswell.

Ketoconazole This is people doing keto oral, but I think topical application still could be absorbed into the system, especially when looking at my unit 1-3 days after applying this on my scalp.

I think Propeica, Rogain and Nizerol are considered the BIG-3 amongst the “hair loss crowd”. …could these individuals suffering these symptoms also be simutaineoulsy using FIN and blaming the rogain and /or Nizerol?

just a thought.

-OR-

the opposite: if all 3 of these have similar sides: how many of us are still dabling with things like Nizerol Revivogen or Rogain and are attributing the sides to POST-FIN.

I think the first is more likly true becase most of the hair loss forum posters use multiple solutions.

In the past, I’ve talk to guys who used rogaine and nizoral for YEARS and didnt have these side effects…After they started using propecia, they lost their mojo…Go figure…

Propecia is the culprit, plain and simple…I’ve been on these forums for about 8 years…seen it all…

Stick with what is known. Minoxidil is a vasodilator, and really has no relevance to hormone function. I could envision more of an issue with the Nizoral, but I think its anti-androgen effects, though real, are marginal, especially compared to finasteride.

I have used all three products. I started taking minoxidil first, it barely helped me regrow hair (if at all) then i started taking propecia along w/ minoxidil for about 3 months, After about a year on minox. I stopped taking it bc of some other side effects i read it caused that doctors don’t discuss, to replace minox. i started taking nizoral for about 2 months now w/ propecia and my hair is getting fuller…dont know if its just bc it took the propecia that long to kick in, or bc the nizoral is helping…but I’ve been starting to feel side fx the past 2-3 weeks, like numbness and loss of morning erections.

I hope the nizoral isnt causing side fx bc I now plan to stop using propecia and would at least like to continue using Niz.

**The side effect w/ minoxidil i read about is it apparently stops collagen production, consequently making your face get more wrinkly and your eyes to get bags n dark circles, something i noticed after i had already started taking it for at least 8 months…i just attributed it to my new stressful job but i did notice a significant difference in how tired i always looked. Anyone else use minox. and get these side fx?

Cant prove anything, but life got a bit better for me after stopping Minoxidil & Nizeral. Brain Fog and fatigue seemed to get a bit better. Minoxidil does mess with collgen and I wonder if some of the penis issues and scrotum issues (not to mention saggy eyes) can be be effected.

Not trying to vindicate FIN. just looking at other things which I have done for my hair, which are also DUMB IDEAS.
