Mercks weak attempt at inbox leaflet change.

Merck New Zealand have changed the inbox leaflet on the back of a complaint from an unknown ex Propecia user.

Here is what the old one was like:

Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following and they worry you:

•difficulty in achieving an erection
•less desire for sex
•decreased amount of semen released during sex (this decrease does not appear to interfere with normal sexual function).

And here is the new one:

Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following and they worry you:

•difficulty in achieving an erection that continued after stopping the medication
•less desire for sex
•decreased amount of semen released during sex (this decrease does not appear to interfere with normal sexual function).

This is hardly a warning to anyone looking to start the drug.

This is a F^#cking joke.

Pls post a link to or attach the old version, and updated leaflet, to this post.

Not too worry, If we win our saw suits I’d presume a much stronger warning then that.

I doubt it. Even if the lawsuits are successful the new warnings will only acknowledge erectile dysfunction.

Tim, did they alter the warning just off 1 complaint?

To the best of my knowledge.
