Merck settles Vioxx shareholder lawsuit, creates internal safety committees for products

This week Merck settled a shareholder lawsuit over VIOXX. Here is the link:

The article states:

Merck & Co has agreed to make corporate governance changes and create internal committees to address potential safety issues with its products under a proposed settlement of shareholders lawsuits related to its withdrawn Vioxx painkiller.

I know they are a bunch of lying bastards, but maybe we could get someone on their “internal committees” to address fin safety issues? Probably wishful thinking…
