Medical Daily calls finasteride 'very safe'...

In his Medical Daily story of July 9, titled “In Search Of A Hair Loss Cure: How Close Are We, Really?,” reporter Ed Cara writes:

“Finasteride (Propecia) and Minoxidil (Rogaine) are very safe medications…”

Needless to say, that is a hugely irresponsible statement to make.

I know this seems like a small thing – emailing one reporter – but it’s the small things that have gotten us all the momentum we’ve seen in recent months.

So don’t sit back and assume someone else will do it. Please take 5 minutes and do it yourself and encourage others to do it as well.

I think the only people who call finasteride “very safe” are those with a vested interest.

True, but did you email the reporter? That’s the key: even if they don’t run a correction or do a followup, they will know we’re watching. The more the better.
