Iām not sure if you actually believe an SSRI is genuinely the catch-all answer to the āfinasteride syndrome,ā but if so, your post qualifies as the first thing Iāve read to indicate that. Not sure if youāre being serious or not.
If it works for your, or other people, great. I just would never take it myself while Iām suffering from a range of other symptoms it doesnāt claim to address. Nothing personal.
Visited my uro and told him my concerns. He listened and checked me up, he too did notice that the tissue in my dick feels hard, not āspongy, relaxed and looseā as before. He though my issues sounded like Peyronieās (as he originally said), but was unable to see or feel any plaque. I asked for some kind of x-ray, ultrasound check or similar to see where the problem is, but he said this would not be an option. Iām guessing he is not competent enough for this, so will have to see someone else in the future. He did say that even if a test was done and something was wrong, there is very little that can be done. So I really donāt know what to do.
Could have had some 16 year old chick on my trip, but did not feel horny even a bit, and things did not respond as before, which is depressing as hell.
Dick is still tilted to the left and bent (30 degrees maybe) and just feels wrong. My bloodwork was fine.
In the meantime, I will take viagra and vitamin E every now and then, keep things warm when showering (doing this makes things look healthier for a while). The positive thing is, the ball ache stopped with antibiotics, and the new veins donāt sting and hurt anymore. And as there has been great improvements during this past year, maybe with time things will get even better. To be honest, I donāt expect a complete recovery anymore.
I donāt get morning erections anymore either, even if my hormones are in good order now, which is weird.
Still thinking about the SSRI thing. Running on benzos at the moment, and that is not a permanent fix and can cause problems too. Tough situation.

Got my results reg. eyes. Vision is good but there was something a bit abnormal about the MRI. Cannot translate it, but nothing serious and will get a new MRI in 2-3 years. Will have to call her to see if that could explain this. Eyes are better, but still have to focus on my vision and there is some discomfort, extremely hard to explain.
Nothing much has changed, dick is still āflimsyā especially at the base, but is improving slowly. Still little pain in groing and dick. Also itās really dry looking and pre-cum is still nonexistent.
Did complain about the gyno surgery result, as I am not pleased. Itās not horrible, but not what we talked about with the surgeon.
Now my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, so I have to put my own health issues on hold for a while and support her. Not a good year in my family reg. breats lol.
Face is still damn dry and reddish and I never get acne like before, donāt, donāt know what to do about that. This situation has made me so depressed and anxious that even diazepam at 10mg doesnāt seem to really help. And as depression and anxiety cause further problems, donāt know what to do. Lexapro is one possibility, but I will really hate myself if I get burnt with that and end up even worse.

If I were you Iād file a lawsuit and take action. I would not continue with the antidepressants as they simply introduce extraneous variables into your case.
You have physical proof the drug screwed your hormones (estrogen increase, gyno) and have had surgery as a result. This is documented, and did not resolve after discontinuation, hence the surgery.
Well, I WOULD try the Lexapro for a bit (IMHO) because it helps get your mind off things for a little while and take a break worrying all the time. Let you relax.
Pretty much, short stints on SSRIās (e.g. 3-4 weeks) can really help you calm down for a little while and look at things from a different perspective. Reprocess, stop obsessing, etc. Theyāve helped me, and others, tremendously through times of grief and tragedy.

I am seeking compensation from a pharmaceuticals insurance pool. I have been in contact with the manufacturer and their medical team, only to get a response about the trials etc. e.g. itās āsomething elseā. Gyno is a listed side, so nothing to file a lawsuit about.
Just a quick update. Checked my levels and consulted my surgeon. He says the result will be fine with time and dieting. Donāt exactly believe him, but thatās not a major problem.
Testosterone: 110 (51-91)
estradiol: 1.1 (0.2-2)
prolactin 87 (50-200)
So I now have extremely high T although I was borderline hypogonadal after fin when there was titaction going on etc. I still take cabergoline every now and then. Did not measure SHBG as it has always been low.
Persisting problems: dry thin skin, vision (I really donāt get this one, neither do the docs) and genitals have still still not recovered. Everything is (still) getting slowly better). Libido is zero, but Iām guessing that has to do with the stress brought on by this and the dick issues.

While I agree that taking an SSRI like Lexapro is a bad idea (further sexual dysfunction very very likely), I cannot condone the last comment.

No major changes. Tip of my member looks healthier and the veins are not as loose as they were after things went really wrong. The base is still not right and there is slight pain. Am thinking about another course of antibiotic and ibuprofein (anti inflammatory).
Still confused about the hormone results which are superb and to still be left with all these problems. Took some basic blood tests and Iām guessing those will be fine too. So as there is pain and discomfort, itās a physical thing im left with.
Eyes a bit better, still problems with my right eye and have to āconcentrateā on seeing.

I havenāt noticed any change in libido or sexual function at all though.
