Post ranges beside each test then people can give feedback.

Hi Mew, im not really sure I understand, these values/numbers was the only thing I recieved in my letter from my doctor.

No ranges for testosterone but it looks ok number wise, as do fsh and lh. Tsh maybe a bit low on the last reading.

Thanks Luckfax, I didn’t know howto read these numbers as good or bad.
However, it seems most people here do have normal hormone levels but still suffer from the drug. Isn’t this a bit odd?

I’ll do another checkup at summer 2010 including a testoterone range.

You need to get these tests done asap.

Pregnonolne
DHEA
DHT
3-Adiol G (THIS ONE IS VERY IMPORTANT)

Alot of us have similiar testortone levels as you along with LH, FSH. However, a lot of us have low Pregnonolne, DHEA, DHT, 3- Adiol G.

This is key, as we think we have isolated the problem.

More blood tests, the BETTER. I know I know I still have to get 3-Adiol G done. Getting it done soon.

Did new blood test today. I ordered whatever my doctor could deliver from the recommended short list posted by Mew, but the lab couldn’t do the important ones like DHEA, DHT, 3alpha-diol G etc. I anticipated this and told him the importance of getting these tests done even if he couldn’t understand why.

In the end he agreed to contact some specialist/hospital and discuss the other tests but told me it would probably get very expensive. ~1000USD if I were unlucky.
This is probably because finasteride isn’t ‘accepted’ just yet as a life destroying drug within the medical community.

He seemed more helpful when I told him partly what I’ve been through and how my ED still is present.
In the end I don’t think he really believed me, asking me if finasteride really did work for hairloss and how long it took before I stopped shedding hair. Naturally I couldn’t care less about it at this stage…

Hopefully I’ll get a letter soon with directions of where I can test 3alpha-diol G.

Manda, some labs dont use the name 3 alpha diol or Adiol-G, they use the full name 3 alpha androstanediol glucuronide (or 3a androstanediol glucuronide, that is what Quest uses)

Recieved my latests blood reports today and I can’t really judge if anything is better/worse compared to a couple of months back. Progesterone seems a bit high?
