Is it possible that our bodies have lowered hormones to protect the brain?
Allopregnelone is a neurotransmitter inhibitor. Presumably if we become deficient in it, then our brain becomes more sensitive to anything.
Hormones could then be lowered as a way of protecting the brain.
I have been just prescribed DHEA and i feel deliriously stupid - i can barely add things up or read ATM. This from someone who graduated in top 1% of his state in year 12 and top 2 % of a top tier Australian law school.
Can we increase allopregenelone?
