Low Iodine on 'spot and load' test

I took an Iodine ‘spot and load’ test. The test process is: you collect your morning urine and your ‘spot’ iodine is measured. The normal range is 0.1-0.5 mg/L. Mine was 0.02 mg/L.

Then you take 50 mg of Iodine in a pill they provide, then collect urine through the day. Measuring how much of that 50 mg you hold on to is a measure of deficiency. Heathy people will excrete 90% of 50 mg pill. I only excreted 68%.

Here is the lab quote about the test

Interesting. Has supplementation brought you any benefits?

Just started in response to this test. I know there has been some shotgun supplementing on the board with interesting results. Its good to have a test result to work from.

I remember that youbet guy claimed he recovered with massive insane doses of iodine.

This isn’t in response to any comment, but I should have stated earlier that: I don’t maintain Iodine is everything.

Most of you know I have test results showing a more core dysfunction (blocked methylation cycle and glutathione depletion - viewtopic.php?f=27&t=7178). I am just going around and testing where there has been fallout in other systems.
