Low DHT

All-

Been dealing with PFS-like symptoms for 12+ years after starting Propecia at the age of 18 and stopping use at the age of 27.

I’ve recently had a full hormonal screening.

Testosterone - 838ng/dl (270-1,070 ng/dl)
Free Test - 2.9%FT
Estradiol - 25 pg/dl (10-40 pg/dl)
DHT - 16.3 ng / dl (29-90 ng/dl)

I have some other results as well, but everything is within normal range.

Is there anything I can do to raise DHT?

Hi-

I have had numerous blood tests over the past two years with everything coming back within range. I am a 30 year-old male who started taking Propecia when I was 18 and stopped when I was 27. I have had some degree of loss of libido almost immediately after beginning Propecia.

Over the last two years my total T has always been between 700-850 ng/mL

Just recently, I received the following DHT result. This is the first time anyone has tested my DHT.

DHT - 16.3 ng/dL (29-90)

I’ve been lurking this forum for two years and understand lots of people DHT is the root of our problems. Now that I have a reading of my DHT levels, is there anything I can do to raise it? I have exercised religiously, lifting heavy weights 3-4 times a week, for the last few years. I haven’t been able to gain much muscle mass, but it has definitely raised my T levels.

Sorghum and protodioscin are allegedly able to do that. But anaerobic exercise also, according to some study which I cannot find at this moment…
I’ve tried both of these things (sorghum and protodioscin) and it seems like they actually do the job. The sad part of the story is how i came to that conclusion- soon after taking them i experienced something like immune response- tinnitus, more severe shrinkage, heart palpitations, insomnia etc. I really don’t see why would I have such reactions (especially sorghum, i mean it is a common grain) if it isn’t due to autoimmunity (to 5ar).

Did you experience the crash ?
