Light at the end's, progesterone and deprenyl

A forum member from Australia posted that he made lots of improvements using progesterone and deprenyl. Here is what he did. Read his posts to see everything he said.

Deprenyl: 5mg for the first 3 days- then 2.5 mg/day (staying under 10-15mg a day is VERY important given dose above that may cause it to loose its selectivity of MOA-B)

Progesterone cream: 5mg every day 2 weeks on, 4 days off

I’m wondering if what he did possibly unregulated the genes that were down regulated either via the androgen receptor theory way or via neurosteroid inhibition.

Are the researchers looking at recovered or partial recoveries and testing them out or at least giving them thought?

Isn’t Deprenyl hard core drug used for Parkinsons? He was also only off a short time a year or so. It could have been natural recovery.

There is a possibility. Despite the fact that his improvements came after taking progesterone and deprenyl, he wrote :

“But please let me also stress to you the untapped potential of placebo. I cover this quite regularly in my studies, and there is a certainly a strong presence in medical literature surrounding its ability to correct imbalances in your bodies physical and psychological chemistry. (This clearly demonstrates our lack of understanding regarding the human mind/body complex).
In other words, i FIRMLY believe that you stand better chance of recovering if you adopt that mindset and stick to what ever routine you choose- whether it be mine or someone elses.”

I do not agree with his comment in the last centense: “whatever routine you choose”; he may have chosen the right treatment for him.

FJ you are right, the main use of deprenyl is in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. See some of the details here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selegiline#Interactions

Yeah I agree with you, I don’t agree with this shit either. there is nothing placebo having PFS at all. it’s either you have it or not. you can’t control how horny you are or how not horny you are.

anyway, back at the op, i looked up deprenyl, it blocks certain neurotransmitters that are produced in excess when you masturbate. it works similarly to alpha blockers. except at first glance, it looks like deprenyl maybe blocks the precursors or something from them happening. i never knew parkinsons was involved with those neurotransmitters… that makes me really nervous considering the muscle twitching i’ve had from PFs… i fucking hate the drug propecia and merck for doing this :imp:

progesterone was recommneded to me as well from someone who is well versed in the understanding of how propecia works, but i never wanted to take the hormone route, but it seems it worked for people. it makes sense this worked for this guy, i can’t remember, but do a search for people that took alpha blockers on this forum they may have had success i cant remember.
