?? Laptop computers in bed ....

Poll / question :

I know this may sound far fetched to some of you, but are you aware of how people living in homes next to high voltage electrical lines have been known to have certain health problems, based on their proximity to these lines.
Also, some skeptics argue about the safety and health of long term cell phone useage, to one’s head!

Well, how many of you have a laptop which you use in bed on a regular basis?

I am wondering if these powerful laptop computers, especially with wireless, can have any sort of negative impact on ones body when sitting on top of your abdomen for hours and hours and hours on end.

I know that I have been using a laptop in bed for about two years now. Sometimes I even fall asleep with it on top of me. I have done this while spending hours writing, or doing reseacrch for school, or watching back episods of Grey’s Anatomy, or whatever…

And I know this may not explain all of us, notably maybe some of us who have hormone problems. But for those of us who are having lots of prostate symptoms. I wonder if this could have effected me in any way. Or predisposed me to these prostate problems.

Anyone else?
Quick answers are fine.

Boston, with all due respect – this is just way out there and if you even believe such a thing could be causing your prostate issues instead of Finasteride, I’m not sure what to tell you anymore. Seems you’re starting to grasp for straws… maybe you should live in a cave! lol

In my opinion, laptops and wireless radio waves have NOTHING to do with our issues. Seriously man, this is bordering on tinfoil hat lunacy…but if you want to believe, go right ahead.

Just for the record.

I read an article that laptop computers can have adverse effectson your genitals etc,if resting on or near there for long periods of time. I think it has something to do with the heating… don’t know how reliable it was.

I work on my laptop all the time, and I take caution not to rest it too much on my stomach and such these days, but it probably is as Mew says, and insane to think it could be related.

But I remembered that article as soon as I read this.

I’m bumping this ancient topic because I think it has relevance, during my last fateful time on the poison I spent a lot of time with the laptop on my bed, lowering testosterone levels I guess, especially given which sites I was frequenting far too often. And the heat next to your balls isn’t doing them any good at all. This sedentary lifestyle led to my downfall I’m sure.

The only relevance it has is that you were taking Finasteride. If you didn’t take Finasteride and still used your laptop, you’d have no issues right now, guaranteed.

Agreed, but had I been out exercising instead I wouldn’t have had so many problems. I was compounding the problem, but hindisght is wonderful.
